))) fourth engagement
[echo is in the kitchen, since it was a well lit place and had tables and chairs in it, with the very important journal nearby as she trims a bonsai tree with some scissors and listens to some of the people in the journal there are a lot of them that are sad and she's trying to understand why]
You... you hurt. That isn't right.
You... you hurt. That isn't right.

Huh?

I guess it's because all those kids left?

I have no idea. Might be in hammerspace or something.
no subject
I'm Echo. I don't know where that place is.
no subject
...I'm Kano. Hammerspace is... Like... Um, when cartoon characters suddenly pull oversized hammers out from behind their backs. The hammers are stored in hammerspace. It's like a pocket dimension or something.

How are you enjoying your stay?
no subject
It's... Okay, I guess. Kind of weird, but a lot of people here are really nice, and I'm kind of surprised no one's walked up to me and told me what I should be doing yet. Which... I guess is a good thing.

At least, that's what I was doing the last place I was at...

Is she sleeping? Where you need to free her, is it because she's sleeping?
1/2
No, I don't... Think so. She was awake the last time I saw her, but her soul's stuck to the goddess that brought me there, except she's evil now, so we have to get it... Unstuck. Or else the princess will get her soul swallowed up by the evil goddess and that would be... Bad.

That does sound bad. I hope no one gets their soul swallowed here.

Well, yeah. Sometimes when things are taken away, people have to be sad for a while until they're happy again. Part of the grieving process.
no subject
Do they need a treatment? I haven't had one here. Maybe it would help them.
no subject
What kind of treatment do you mean?

Huh. Well, I don't know that there's anyone here who can do that kind of treatment. We're probably just going to have to work it out on our own.
no subject
Topher gives me my treatments. He's not here though. How will we work it out?
no subject
Yeah, I haven't seen anyone named Topher around.
Best we can do is to do things that make us happy so that we don't have to be sad anymore. Whether that's spending time with friends or reading a good book or even just eating chocolate. Then eventually we'll realize that yeah, we're sad still, but we can live with it. Move on.

...You have a tree?

[...] So you like taking care of trees? You been outside to the gardens lately? There are a ton of flowers this time of year.
