[On one of the beds in the clinic, someone starts to stir awake. He opens his eyes and after a moment, sits up slowly, looking around the room as he tries to get an idea of where he is. His expression and his movement seem almost...nothing like Allen's usual ones are. It almost seems like he's a completely different person, and this person doesn't seem as friendly]

[OOC: Canon bump and open post. Feel free to be in the clinic to notice him. And so not my fault for this being posted early]

[someone's decided to check on Allen, and is surprised to see him up so quickly. She opens her mouth to make some sort of comment about his appetite, but stops when she realizes he looks... weird >> ]

[But as the name registers he blinks and his expression suddenly shifts completely back to a confused expression similar to Allen's as he looks over at her]

...Teresa?

[however, the obvious shift makes her freeze]

[He reaches up to brush his bangs out of his face, glancing around but no way in the way he was just a moment ago]

I'm in the clinic? I must have really passed out then...sorry.

[slowly drops her arm, openly staring at him]

How are you?

Um...hungry, mostly. [a small laugh]

Did everyone else make it back all right?

Oh no...I didn't mean to worry people, I'll have to apologize. Rinali is probably really upset...[a sigh; even when he tries he seems to worry her]

[he pauses]

Hey, why are you here, Teresa? I thought you'd be with Clare.

[She's been relatively close by, reading through the journal to play catch up on the last few days. But when she hears him stir, she looks up]

How are you--

[But she drifts off. That expression.. it was the same. Hadn't she just imagined it?]

[She's quiet for a bit, searching his face. This time it had been really clear, and it wasn't an expression she ever thought she would see on his face]

[Trying on a smile, she closes her journal and walks over to his bedside]

Ah...hungry, mostly.

[a shake of his head.]

I'm very sorry, Rinali. I had no idea I would pass out like that. Are you all right?

I can imagine. Do you want to go to the kitchen? It probably wouldn't be a bad idea for you to rest more, so I wouldn't mind going to get you something either.

[shakes her head]

Mm, I'm fine! You don't have to apologize, I'm just glad that you're awake now.

[a smile] If the healers let me out of here, I would love to go to the kitchen. I've missed it.

Okay, if you're sure. Still, next time I'll make sure to eat something before I get my powers back! Maybe that will help!

[a laugh, he hasn't changed at all] Then, at least for now, you should stay here. You don't want to make them angry.

It couldn't hurt! When you fell, I was really-- [she cuts herself off with a sympathetic smile] You probably don't want to hear something like that. Other than feeling hungry, are you feeling okay?

[then a pause]

Teresa carried you here.

[a sigh of disappointment] I suppose...but I'm just hungry. Wouldn't going to the kitchen cure that?

Sorry, Rinali...and yeah, I'm fine.

It would, but.. At the same time, they're only thinking about what's best for their patient. The kitchen won't disappear, I promise.

Mm, she did. She said she would come back and visit soon.

[she hesitates for a moment, then] Did you..

Ah, we can talk more later. You're hungry, right?
