[Jun can't seem to sleep tonight.

having pitched her tent next to the remnants of the tower, she cannot help but allow the curiosity to get the better of her and do a little bit of investigation throughout the hollowed out tower. torch in hand, she's trying to find something of interest, something that could possibly be worth stopping here for. so far, it looks like slim pickings, but really, she wants to poke around when there's not too many others doing the same.

of course, fate being what it is, she's sure someone else will see the flame and get the same ideas, what with the area being OPEN and all...]

[yeah, Jun didn't expect the voice to speak directly to her, and turning around with the torch, she spots Kratos and greets him curled lips, and that not-so serious tone of hers.]

We haven't come across anything worth being unnerved about. All this is is a hollowed out shell of a building, big deal.

[Sleep? Sleep is that thing you do when you're not around strange ruins. Raine is furiously examining every aspect of the place.]

She was right. It does seem quite deliberate....

Jun! Yes, when my friend Professor Song visited here, she had mentioned that these ruins bear the mark of being deliberately placed as ruins, rather than being the result of a natural structure decaying over time. And I think she's right! See, here [she gets down very close to the floor, pointing excitedly at the joining of a railing to the floor] there aren't any signs of scraping or stress on the railings, such as might have been caused by the impression of a heavy object over time, yet here higher on the railing, it's worn away as if by pressure!

i like the crazy faced one. it makes me lol every time.

[just... glances at Raine, but she does take a quick peek at what she's talking about with the railing.]

That's weird. Why would someone deliberately place this here if they would know that someone could call it out as something just... put here? [and a scoff] Unless the walls are made of some sort of material that ages badly.

And it's not, don't you see? These rough edges - this is the result of deliberate destruction, perhaps by a battle, rather than the natural wear and tear of time. And the untrained eye wouldn't see this sort of detail. It takes an archaeologist to see these things!

[and to think, she's noticing these details when the lighting's bad, too. Jun kind of shifts in her stance, bringing the torch up to one of the krags and runs a couple of fingers along the surface.]

Glad we got ourselves a pair of trained eyes, then. You notice any other signs outside of the tower, because I haven't spotted anything too weird.

[she barely affords Jun a glance, and she starts climbing, using windowsills and what's left of other floors as grips. In less than a few seconds, she's already a few stories up.]

[oh, jeez. first time she sees the humanesque rabaroo in action, she's off and out of sight. well, at least she was an efficient lady.

Jun turns around, wondering if there's a place she can scale up to a higher floor, not really having the grandiose leaping powers Fran had. she calls out to her, however.]

Yeah, been doing that ever since we set up camp. Wish there was something else to look at other than a pile of rubble.

[At one point she noticed that Jun was no longer beside her. Getting up and grabbing a flashlight, she wandered into the closest logical place. Jun always did love exploring around a bit.

But, Delysia being Delysia, she's a bit apprehensive about where she's wandering off to, and she hasn't found Jun yet. She's wandering around, constantly looking over her shoulder and now walking backwards to make sure that no one is following her from behind. Which means that when she bumps into Jun it takes her completely by surprise. She shrieks and drops her flashlight.]
