Would anyone like to play a game of chess? I was thoroughly trounced last time I attempted a game, so I could definitely use the practice.
Or perhaps even a good teacher.

Well, it shouldn't be difficult for you to find a teacher. Just be sure to find one that's worth your time.

I think it would be a little more difficult than one would think. They must be very intelligent to make them worth learning from. Otherwise I could simply find a book. [read: everyone in Paradisa is a moron]

Ah- I'm not so sure it would be a good idea to take lessons from him. He also has a very round about way of doing things. Doesn't seem beneficial to chess.

It's...Not his skill level that I find bothersome. He cannot speak in a direct manner. About anything. And I'm sure I wouldn't get the lessons without a price.

A man named Lelouch once claimed to be a rather sound chess player. Perhaps you could ask him for lessons.
