[sitting on the roof of the courthouse in town, staring at his ring, but not really seeing it. he's thinking about....

he hasn't thought about her in weeks now, and even just that feels like a betrayal of her. or of her memory. or whatever he's standing for right now, because it's been almost five months in this place and as much as he wants to hold on, it's getting harder and harder each day.

the fact that he feels less and less guilty every time he and Shayera get together doesn't bode well.

he's... reluctant. even thinking about this seems dishonourable and wrong, but can he really continue doing this? even if Mari does show up, it won't negate what he feels for Shayera. and those feelings are getting stronger and stronger, growing right back into what they used to be

maybe... maybe it's time to think about moving on.
