[Written, as usual, in her beautiful, flowing script]
My bow is done now, for anyone who saw me making it.
Many hours of work and song – it suits me well.
The Castle saw fit to provide me with tools and sinew for the string. The birds gifted me with feathers for fletching the arrows, and all I must do now is finish them with metal heads. I have built a kiln on the grounds, and the Castle brought me mithril.
Does anyone else have use for a kiln? Pottery, perhaps? Or other weapons making?
Does anyone know of a place where I shoot at a target to test the arrows and bow, when I have finished?
[Duster]
Would you like to see it, now that it is finished?

[Lord Morrolan]
You once mentioned that you would like to have a sword to ease at least a small amount of the pain from she whom you have lost. If you have any knowledge of weaponsmithy, the kiln can be yours.

Arwen. [He says it like reminding himself. Then he replies, slowly, in plain printing:]
I would like to see it. Where are you?

[He arrives after some timeskippage, studiously following the written directions.]

And here it is - my finished bow.
[She holds it out to him. It's a long bow, so fairly large, and heavy. Delicate carving envelops the bow on either side of the handle - twin trees, their branches twining together and on all sides of the bow, reach up to stars at the points.]

[And then he stares at the bow, taking in all the detail.] That must have been a lot of work, Arwen. It looks like a weapon to be proud of.

Well, I learned a bit of the ancient history of weaponry. There weren't any actual weapons to train with, other than sticks and planks that could be a weapon if a person needed them to be. You said you use arrows with this?

And yes - [She reaches over her shoulder, and grasps an arrow.] I made a few so far; the tip is mithril. [She now holds the arrow out to him, intending to trade it for the bow]

Hmm. Smooth so it doesn't catch on the air, I see.
... I think I'd rather just watch the bow in action. This arrow by itself feels more like a tool I'd use than a whole bow would. But thank you.

I shall be up at dawn every day for the next week practicing. Lord Morrolan has told me there is a place near the stables that is intended for such practice. Perhaps you will care to join me? But then, I do not know your sleeping habits.
For now, however, I have more arrowheads to cast and temper.

Then so may it be.
It seems the fire in the kiln is hot enough again, however. If you do not mind, I shall return to my craft.

[He gives a wave goodbye, and leaves Arwen to her work.]
Lady Arwen
My thanks, Lady Arwen. Perhaps I shall try my hand at forging - it has been some time since I studied with the Serioli, but it would be well worth the effort.
As well, there is a shooting range somewhat near the stables in the courtyard. I hope you find it to your liking.
Lord Morrolan
May the Valar bless your work.
