Nathan, are you all right? You weren't in your room when I knocked earlier. Apparently there's a rather unpleasantly tempered resident currently roaming the grounds, and I was concerned.

[Nathan is actually in the library at the moment, trying to find a book to read. He's been so used to not having the time to do so that he pretty much forgot that he quite enjoys it. Now though since realizing he needs to just enjoy the time he has here without the worry of what is going on at home he's finding his older hobbies rather relaxing]

Inara, I'm actually in the library. I'm fine, I've heard of the recent injuries, but I think I'm not one to look for danger in these halls at least. I noticed Adam offering to help as well... I'm sort of impressed actually.

Everything here is different, and Peter tried to convince me that Adam wasn't the person I knew him to be. I've spoken with him before, but a man's actions are always much louder than his words.

The Company, the one my parents were part of, had locked him up for thirty years. I don't condone their behavior on any level, but they saw him and his ideals as a threat. He had plans to release a virus into the population, one that would clearly be quite devastating. He was stopped, but foolishly the ones left in charge still didn't destroy the strain of the virus. Instead they stored it thinking it would be safe.

Peter, my brother had been through a lot, and thought himself to be dangerous to others. He volunteered to be locked up by the Company... it's where Peter met Adam. My brother ended up believing that Adam wanted to save the world, which I'm sure Adam fully believed he was doing. But he in turn used my brother to gain access to the virus, twisting him around to his side. In the end I got to Peter in time, before he killed someone trying to protect Adam.

Here... Peter came from before I showed up in Odessa... and now he's from after. It's always been complicated here, but seeing that he's making good use of his ability... it's just something I'm glad to see.

I'm sorry... I should've explained sooner. I just hadn't exactly been thinking too much about who we were before we came here until I saw that he'd been helping others. It's a different contrast I guess when you're actually faced with it.

It's quite all right, Nathan. I've come to the conclusion that who we are outside of here is irrelevant. We're all blank slates, here.
