CHRISTMAS MASQUERADE ACTION THREAD

[In order to enter the ballroom, one must approach the door -- it will open if you are wearing a mask and formalwear.

The ballroom has elegantly transformed into a larger area to accommodate everyone if need be -- the ceiling is high, the lights are dimmed, and there are tiny Christmas lights hanging from everywhere on the ceiling in long strings like stars. There's only a few wreaths hidden in the corners, so if you're careful they're easy to avoid.

There's classical orchestral music playing in the background that's not too loud, but not too soft, either. It's recognizable, yet somewhat vague enough that you can't name the exact tune. There is a table with punch and small things like cookies and crackers.

[in walks one Betty Suarez, wearing a rather vibrant little dress with a purple mask adorned with feathers of nearly every color. she stands beside the doors, looking around to see if she sees a familiar face, aka Amanda or Alexis. this should be fun, though! masquerade balls are always made to be really interesting and mysterious, right? she bumps into a few people as she makes her way inside, apologizing profusely.]

[There's an area around the edge of the dance floor/table area that's a little more private, and is the ideal place for those who just want to watch people instead of actually dance, or want to avoid the crowd.]

[He's standing at the edge of the dance floor, his outfit hasn't change much except his suit is zipped up and he's wearing a tie. And a simple black masquerade mask instead of goggles. All and all, he looks bored.]

SLEEPOVER

[After the masquerade ends a few hours after it begins, the lights will brighten up a bit and the floor will become basically a giant comfy mattress. Sleeping bags will appear everywhere, along with some flashlights, more plates of cookies, cups of hot cocoa, and a giant screen projected on one side of the ballroom playing Christmas movies.]

He carefully picks his way across the mattress-like floor, a pack slung over his shoulder, and a tray of delicious tea in his hands. PLEASE DO NOT BE TRIPPING HIM. Since he can't find the group by way of looking for GIANT FLYING BISON, he's been reduced to spotting them by ridiculously-shaped tattoos on equally ridiculous heads. (Nothing to do with the shape, just the optimism.)]
