Snow. Snow. Snow.

[....and outside's a girl that spend the whole of her childhood in Texas. And then the rest of hr life in L.A. with a bit of a detour in demon dimension between. So needless to say? She's more than a little excited at the idea of snow.

Her hair is tucked up in a pony tail, and she's bundled up in a lightweight coat and a scarf, with gloves that match. Gloves being the most important part because what else is a girl to do that's hardly seen snow but play in it?

Only it's not snowmen or snow angels that are holding her attention. Rather a complicated igloo like structure that appears to have multiple rooms.

She's done the math...

[Mary was fond of the snow, something about it made it all seem like a new start really was possible. Plus it always made things easier to track when they left actual tracks. Things felt different though, and she was missing John, so the cold air flooding her lungs with tiny ice particles felt good, it felt numbing at the very least, and hey! There's an igloo being made she should probably go check that out]

Looks pretty complicated. [have a smile]

[that's sort of adorable and Mary grins moving around the structure]

Well I figured, since you're the one building it. Trust me though, it's mighty impressive looking to say the least.

[no worries on the cold, Mary has on a pair of leather winter gloves since her Dad always taught her to dress for the weather ~ so she shakes the hand with a smile]

Mary, and it's good to meet you Fred.

[laughs a bit]

I know the feeling, I always think I'll get out and meet some of the people I talk to in these books, but I tend to end up with my friend Jo, but that's because we have a lot in common.

[she laughs shaking her head]

Yeah you're tellin' me. I swear I'm not sure if it's better I'm here or if I should feel bad for not bein' back home.

[A low, impressed whistle comes from directly behind her.]

[identity profile] mmm-paradise.livejournal.com 2008-12-10 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
Careful. Don't want to screw up, do you?

[identity profile] mmm-paradise.livejournal.com 2008-12-10 05:38 am (UTC)(link)
I wonder if it's worth the hassle, though. It'll all tumble by spring, you know.

But the best things usually do. [a light laugh] You might make the castle jealous.

It seems to get a kick out of being the most powerful thing here. [He looks up at the work she's done.] Tower of Babel and all that, you know?

[Have a Lorne, enjoying snow for the first time ever. Because, hey, there's no snow in a place with two suns and everywhere else he's lived has been L.A or Las Vegas.]

Is this one of those things that has complicated maths involed that make me have that blank expression when you try to explain them to me, Freddles?

[identity profile] mysticalvender.livejournal.com 2008-12-12 06:04 pm (UTC)(link)
[He chuckles softly, tilting his head at the thing]

Thanks, Sunshine, I appreciate it. You probably would have had to wheel me in when I got frozen solid or something. So, enjoying yourself?

[He laughs as it beans him on the shoulder]

Heeeey no fair, picking on the pacifist.

[is wandering around outside, careful not to let cane or feet slip in the snow; the cold doesn't bother him, and the sight - strange, now, different, after so long with nothing but spring - is rather comforting

he slows to a stop when he spots her igloo, and the shadow of a smile graces his features, because he recognises the equations within immediately, and appreciates the complexity]

[his own widens, a bit] Hello. [and he nods to the wee igloo] Impressive piece of work.
