I had a dream last night.

Nii-san is.. suffering so much right now.

I know he doesn't know that I'm here right now and maybe that's for the best. Even so, there's a large part of me that wishes he was here but the other half knows better than that. I don't want him to lose anything when he's lost so much already. But I would give anything to hear his voice right now, to know that he is okay along with everyone else in the Science Division.

[She's seated at the kitchen table with a coffee mug in hand, but she hasn't taken a sip of the coffee inside of it. In fact, it's quite cold by now and even though she's staring at it, she's zoned out so much that it hasn't really registered yet]

[Sees that and frowns slightly, walking further into the kitchen; unsure if he should say something or not]

[Spots something dark out of the corner of her eye and nearly jumps. However, upon closer inspection-]

[gives a small smile] Hey, Rinali. Is everything all right?

Hm? [looks at the mug and makes a face before moving to dump the contents into the sink] Oh- Everything is fine!

[pauses, just staring at him for a moment] Your hood?

[watches her do that with a frown] Are you sure?

Oh! um...it's a long story.

[Someone is daring to venture into the kitchen again, looking around to make sure there's no one attempting to prank, poison, etc. When she just sees a girl, she goes about opening a cabinet to find.... something DX]

[The sound of the cabinet catches her attention, she turns and smiles at Teresa]

[pauses as she looks at a box of crackers, turning to nod at the girl]

I don't know if you like shortcake, but there's a bit left over in the fridge.

Short... cake?

[crosses the kitchen and pulls the plate out of the fridge, where a single piece of strawberry shortcake remains]

This. Would you like some?

[tromps into the kitchen tired, wet, and cold, leaving a lovely trail of slush behind him as he goes. pauses for a moment because he thinks he knows that girl -- the hair is familiar -- but can't place it. doesn't really care anyway. he wants coffee, and so makes some since the coffee in the maker was old and disgusting. D;]

[her eyes find the slushie mess first and then find the one who left it, but she can only see them from behind. which one was it? DX] Ah-

I'm sorry, I forgot about the coffee.

[and waits, waits, waits impatiently until the coffee is done! which actually doesn't take all that long. busies himself with pouring some out as soon as it's done]

[carries two cups of coffee over; places one relatively close to her, and then continues on a very respectful distance from her to sit and sip at his own.]

[walks into kitchen, and is idk, getting some stuff for a sandwich when he notices Rinali. tilts his head and smiles a bit]

I'm fine, really! I just didn't sleep very well.
