133 - Heaven and Hell

I believe I have a few questions for you today, fellow residents. They all play into the same theme, and only require you to exhibit the very basics of thought and belief to answer. I don't want to exclude anyone.

Do you and your world believe in Heaven? Do you and your world believe in Hell? And do you believe that Hell can exist without Heaven?

I don't believe in either, and nor does my world. Heaven and hell exist as words, but they're concepts, not places. We have one spirit world, and that is all there is to it.

It's all subjective, anyway. One person's hell is another's heaven, so as long as someone thinks it's heaven, both exist together.

Very true. A fickle species will have fickle beliefs, unique from one to the next.

I've lived and worked in both. And no, the only time in my world there will be one without the other is when the Apocalypse hits proper and one side wins. 'Course, that would end the world, too, unfortunately.

Must have been an interesting career choice to move from one to the other, or in between. Then that is to say that they are firmly linked within the world, and there is no one without the other unless everything becomes the other.

Red Bloods are more inclined to believe in Heaven and Hell than Black Bloods are, since the prior like to believe their existence continues beyond their short lives, and the latter tend to disprove most religious theories about death and the afterlife by their very duration. There are plenty of believers in both groups, though.

As for myself~ I don't believe in either. Used to, a very long time ago, back when everyone who didn't was a witch or a heretic or a blasphemer, or whatever term was appropriate for the time... But now those ideas just contradict what I understand to be the truth.

I do not believe in Heaven or Hell, but I'm sure that most from my world do.

I can tell you without any doubt that there is an Underworld, but I can't tell you whether it is more like a Heaven or a Hell.

Interesting. Most would call the Underworld another name for Hell. How do they differ?

Well, I lived on top of a Hellmouth for two years.

Which is basically a dormant portal, unless someone messes with it, and it unleashes...well, hell. There were tentacles.

Whether human spirits could end up in a place like that? No one really knows.
