So these are the buzzard wasps I was mentioning earlier.

[ begins drawing a few scribbles on the journal page, trying to not smudge the lines, but kind of failing at that aspect, as they are some sorts of rough sketches derived from memory. while she speaks, she begins to draw something else while she proceeds to explain herself]



Like I said, they don't look like much, but they're fierce beasts, about four or five feet long and if you get stung by them... it's not a pretty sight. I'd had to fend off a few when I would travel deep into the deserts of my homeland to catch a bounty.

[ looks down at the creature she had offhandedly begun drawing as she was talking, and is silent for a moment, thinking about it for a little longer than intended. she clears her throat and continues, passing off her vague recollection as something of an added explanation of the creatures back home]

Oh and before you ask, the creature in the right corner is something my people call a shirshu. They're really rare and you can't find many of them anymore... but I've always wanted to see one. It looks scary, but I think it would make a good pet if I can get a young one. They have great noses because they don't really... see.

Oh, my! Those are... certainly frightening. We definitely do not have those where I come from. We have one or the other but, never combined like that. You say you had to fend them off yourself?

The buzzardwasps, if they are not swarming, tend to back off after a few cracks of the whip.

[short pause]

I... don't remember what I did when they actually did swarm; it must have been a while ago.

And the shirshu? Like I said, they are extremely rare. I don't think I need to worry about them much.

As frightening as they are, I thank you for the visuals. I didn't expect such a detailed depiction. You're quite good. If I tried to draw for you, I don't think it would turn out so well.

[flips hair out of face, though it immediately falls back as she straightens her posture and steadies her stance] So why don't you give it to me?

[stands up, leisurely; doesn't get into a fighting stance, but he also straightens his posture, scrutinizing her, though she probably won't notice because his face is blank as ever] Being a male, I'm expected to allow the girl to go first.

[at this, she dashes forward Sasuke, running toward his left side and pulling back an arm for a quick swing of her fist aimed toward that pretty little face of his. her own left foot digs into the ground as she allows her stance to allow her to swing her punch at an efficient speed. her other fist is brought up to guard her upper chest and her neck, held at an upward diagonal position in order to easily reflect any retaliation on Sasuke's part]
