I wonder: how much longer will it be until this place bears it's claws again?

It'll be soon I think, because this place is probably getting itchy. I don't think it likes to sit long. It lashes out for reasons that I can only begin to guess, though I have a good idea why.

Well, keep in mind that it's only a "good idea," which isn't conclusive.

Still. If you have some idea of the way this place works, I'd be interested in hearing it.

Okay, then bear with me.

It wants to make people react. I don't know why. Maybe it just likes to stir shit. Maybe it's being scientific. Maybe it's an abusive bastard who needs to put the little guy down. Or maybe it eats the stuff.

Point is, it likes to make people react. This also explains why there are such long periods of rest or times when it acts with kindness. Human beings (and most non humans too) adapt quickly to chaotic situations, thus to keep things amped up at all times would not be conducive to it's long term goal of keeping us wound up. Plus, it knows that humans will make up for the slack on their own.

You speak as if this place is planning something...

Not really.

I can't predict such a place. I'm just making guesses based on other guesses. I may be wrong.

Would it be... too much to ask if I inquired about some of the things this place has done before?

This is just my experience.

But when it comes to the whole place...

-Turned it into a garishly bright place with little animal people bounding about.

-caused some guy to go around ripping up shit and killing people.

-it threw a carnival.

And then there are the losses. What it takes from you whenever it feels like it. And the people it brings and takes.

There are others who've been here longer and could probably explain it in more detail.
