It seems you and I have gotten off to a bad start. And since I would not want to disrupt the delicate truce I currently share with your father, I believe it would serve us both to try and start anew.

Or would you rather deny I even exist? Because as preferable as that may seem, I am sure you will find it nigh impossible as your time here continues on.

Okay... Um, it's a long story though, are you sure you want to hear all of it?

[ooc: which would be better, and epically long comment, or broken into parts so he can comment if he wants?]

Okay... [she looks up and takes a deep breath, trying to remember all the way back] It started with my pilgrimage, the Journey of Regeneration. The belief was... a priestess had to visit the four seals and awaken the Goddess Martel to seal away the Desians and restore mana to our world. Um, I set off for my pilgrimage with my teacher, and Kratos as guardians. At the first seal, Lloyd and a friend of ours, Genius joined us too. After that, they... protected me so I could pray at the seal, and I began my transformation into an angel.

[she looks down, and her voice gets a little softer] When we reached the final seal I was turned into a full angel... but it turned out we were being deceived. That the angels were really trying to create a vessel for Martel. She wasn't a goddess after all, just a person, and her brother, Yggdrasil wanted very much to bring her back to life. It turned out, he had sent Kratos to make sure I completed the Journey... It was lucky though, um... Yuan came to save us-- in a way.

[He followed along quietly enough, feeling a rather sharp pang of familiarity at the mention of Mithos. He pushed it aside though, and focused on her tale]

In a way?

Well... he wanted to kill me. But, it was only so Yggdrasil wouldn't get what he wanted! So... that was a good thing. He took all of us to his base, but Sheena helped us escape to Tethe'alla. I'm afraid I'm not a very good person to ask about this part of our journey... it was barely even clear at the time. That was the time when I had lost my heart and memory, so um, I guess it's not surprising I don't remember much! [tries to laugh it off... kinda] After Lloyd made me a key crest though, I turned back to normal [this makes her genuinely smile] and we tried to find a way to stop Yggdrasil, and unite the two worlds. As it was now, mana either flowed to Sylvarant or Tethe'alla so while one world flourished, another fell apart.

While we tried to release the summon spirits, so they could bring the two worlds together... I got in the way again. [she looks down again, obviously ashamed] I don't remember what it was called, but I was sick and they had to stop to find a cure... It turned out alright in the end and we found out more about Yggdrasil when he was Mithos, and the Eternal Sword. It is what Mithos used to separate the world so Lloyd thought we could use it to bring the worlds together.

[He was kind of miffed by that, as he really did want to know everything. But he wasn't about to make her feel like dirt for going over something visibly uncomfortable. And if necessary, he could clear the details up with other people. He did, however, want some elaboration on one point before moving on]

Not to disrupt your story but how would releasing these spirits bring these worlds together?

Oh, it's no trouble. Um, well... at first, we thought that if we awoke all the summon spirits in both worlds, the mana pillars would weaken, and then each world would be independent. But Yuan then told us that what we needed to do instead was form a pact with all the summon spirits. If we could direct their mana to the Great Seed, then the Kharlan Tree would be born again, and supply enough mana so both worlds could flourish together. However... there was a problem, when we did release the summon spirits, the seed went out of control, and threatened to tear apart Sylvarant. But, by combining the powers of the summon spirits of Tethe'alla, we calmed the seed. It was after that I got sick and we discovered the Eternal Sword.

I see. [Plan A, catastrophic failure]

And so, focus shifted to that, and using the sword to merge the planets.

Yes... But, Yggdrasil told us that the only way for Lloyd to be able to wield the Eternal Sword was to make a pact with Origin, and to do that we had to defeat Kratos. Lloyd didn't want to fight him... but he knew he had to save the world from Yggdrasil. Lloyd defeated Kratos, but Yuan came at the last second and saved Kratos. With Origin released, Sheena could make a pact with him, and Lloyd would be able to use the Eternal sword. However, as we were going to go find the sword, Yggdrasil's Cruxis Crystal tried to possess Lloyd and I... stepped in the way. [she looks down again, why does she get kidnapped so much :/]

Yggdrasil took me to Derris-Kharlan. Lloyd told me later that everyone else returned to Lloyd's house before the final battle, where Lloyd's adopted father forged the Eternal Ring, the last thing Lloyd needed to be able to use the sword. After that everyone came to Derris-Kharlan, and though Mithos tried to trick them, Lloyd saved us by dispelling the illusions.

Once we were reunited, we all went to face Yggdrasil. It was a long hard battle... but we won in the end. It was after that Lloyd used the sword's power to awaken the Great Seed. I was able to go with him and... [she smiles] The tree was so beautiful. The spirit of the great seed came to us and said the seed had been reborn, and the world had been saved.

[Well, that covers most of it]

So, he was able to use that power to do significant good. [A thoughtful pause.] The tree sounds remarkable. A pity I would be unable to see it.

I have a few questions though. [He needed to know more about the Renegades in this]

[I know it's short, but I'm even shaky on some of the details XD and a full summery would be waaaay too long D:]

It was very beautiful.

Oh, okay.

I'm sure it is. [A nod, before turning to some other matters]

What was the nature of the Renegades involvement in the restoration of the world?

[she frowns a little and looks concentrated] I'm... not sure. I know they were working against Yggdrasil and Cruxis. Their first objective was to make sure I didn't complete my journey by... well, killing me. After I was turned into an angel they started chasing Lloyd. I think what they really wanted to do was unite the two worlds with the Great Seed, after we agreed to help they stopped trying to follow us. They told us about the Great Seed, and helped us calm it when it went out of control.

[...At any cost, was it? But no matter, he nods, files the information appropriately]

First enemies, then allies...to a degree. It seems as though the goal was mutual but the execution opposed one another. [Has an idea as to why they might have been after Lloyd, too.]

And I believe there was another specific figure with the Renegades. [Is totally recalling Yuan's 2nd nightmare now] Botta, I believe?

Yes... But he was only trying to save everyone. And in the end, he saved Kratos.

[she stiffens a little and nods. She still feels horrible that he gave his life for theirs...] Y-yes. He was a kind man as well.

I'm sure you're familiar with the phrase "the road to Hell is paved with good intentions". But I understand what you mean.

[Oh, you better bet he picked up on that] Was. So then he did die.

[pause for a moment... has Yuan been keeping it a secret? Does he even know? Is it her place to say...] Y-yes.

[He can smell hesitation. And he figures it has something to do with Yuan] If it is possible and if you do not mind, would you elaborate on what happened?
