Five months? Has it really been that long? Five months of sitting in a castle, doing nothing, and living a life that I had never expected to have. Five months since I've seen the waste of what's left of Japan. Five months since I've seen the Asuka that remembers me - that remembers what I did to her. . .

It feels weird keeping it from her. But she'd kill me if she knew.

She'd never forgive me. Would she?

At least this way things are. . . as normal as they can be. I don't want everything that happened back home to mess things up here.

I don't want people to know what I'm really like. . .

I. . . like having friends.

No one would want to be friends with me if they knew what a failure I was. If they knew what I'd done. . .

I think I'm one of the only people here who hopes that they never have to go home. Life. . . is so much better here. Even without getting to listen to music.

I'm not sure, really. I guess I realized that it's been five months since I got here and I haven't really done anything with anyone except for Asuka. No one makes good friends through just talking, right?
