[she's leaning against the door, wearing a simple shirt and jeans with her hair pulled back; she pushes away from it as he approaches and gives him a slightly stiff smile in return]
[her eyes widen slightly as she gets a good look at him, her nostrils flaring just a hair; as she takes the gun from him and turns it over in her hands once, her thoughts come across stuttered]
[instead of taking it, she opens the door to the Danger Room with her free hand and nods to indicate he can go in ahead of her with the tiniest of smiles]
[damn you she's only got two hands and it's a big gun ;_; but she follows him in, shuts the door, and gives herself a second to think "I'm sorry" before bringing the butt of the gun down as hard as she can on the back of his head]
[he steps out of the shadows, dressed all in black, and the room flickers into a semblance of the caves of Androzani Minor] Well-done, Lucy. [he gives her a warm, loving smile before bending over Five and lifting him up, carrying him over to a wall with chains dangling from it]
[she gives him a smile in return that isn't as bright and pleased as it would normally be... she rather feels like she did when she killed her brother: sick, but there had been no other choice. Now she feels sick but determined. She gives them a lingering look before slipping out of the room for a few moments]
[he chains Five to the wall, cutting his undershirt off deftly, then places his hands to his temples, forcing a psychic connection the same way he did with Jack]
[he doesn't answer for a moment, disoriented, eyes darting back and forth, arms straining at his bonds, all automatic, how many times has he been in this position?]
You...
[sudden, anxious determination hardens his features]
Lucy
...Of course.
I did...want to know how you were doing.
Five
Lucy
[and we have footsteps as he retrieves it; and then, softly]
I do trust you, Lucy.
Five
[after a moment]
I'll wait outside for you.
Lucy
All right.
[and he arrives...some time later? with a weak but fond smile]
Five
Did you bring it?
Lucy
his smile fades, then, as he nods, holding it out to her; his thoughts are soft, tender]
Are you all right?
Five
Should I not be?
Lucy
I was...harsh with you, before.
Five
I expect you were being yourself. I did help torture you. I watched while Harry tortured Captain Harkness.
Lucy
Yes. You did. And I can't excuse it, Lucy, but that doesn't mean...
[he takes a tentative step closer]
I said, once, that I would always care about you, and I meant it.
Five
I hope you always will.
Lucy
I will.
Five
Do you think you might be up to a little bit of practice? You did say you would help me, once...
Lucy
All right.
[and holds his arm out to her]
