There are currently two hundred forty-one (241) residents in the castle. Going by names alone, I was unable to determine the gender of one hundred fifty-two (152) of these inhabitants. The remaining eighty-nine (89) were used as a sample pool.

Of these, forty-seven (47) are male and forty-two (42) are female. Unless the extreme number of non-gender specific names drastically changes the ratio towards females, this suggests the castle prefers male inhabitants, going by the sample pool alone. The difference is very small, but in life and in data, even small differences may make great changes.

It is obvious that not everyone reading the journal will take the time to fill out a poll or survey, therefore, a non-response bias will occur.

Are there any experts here in foreign names? I would like to further examine the population trends, but if there is no one available, I will simply commit many hours in the library to further my research.

[ooc: the pie chart is all ghetto and looks like it was quickly done, then pasted in the journal :)]

*points a gun at your head* Are you running treadmill, miss. ty lee?

You're even generous to those who probably don't appreciate your efforts?

I don't see why you'd be interested in my business.

You could have used that time to gather information about the residents themselves, which would have been more useful.

I know I don't, but why would you be interested?

The more intelligent of the people here know to keep personal information filtered.

I find something productive to do.
