I'd been wondering where this book had gotten to. It seems to have been... in my closet all this time. That's a bit strange, since I didn't put it there. At least, I don't recall having put it there.

So many things have happened since I last wrote here... first those terrible murders, then that enormous monster — I didn't dare try to fight it without my spells, but I'm glad some of you seem to have dispatched of it — then all the snakes in the castle just the other day... and so many people have just arrived! Was there something keeping all of you from coming here before, I wonder?

And... well, in the midst of all this, I seem to have managed to twist my ankle when I... oh, this is going to sound silly, but I tripped on a... a rather large rock out in the gardens the other day. And just as I was getting up, I nearly stepped on one of those snakes. I suppose things could have been worse and I could have been bitten. But it isn't very comfortable trying to climb up and down all these flights of stairs with a twisted ankle. If I only had my healing magic...

...I'm still not quite sure what happened. If I've offended Sehanine somehow, I... I'm just not certain what I'm going to do.
