...what motivates you?
For me, it always was just to become the best at what I do. Become the greatest swordsman there ever was. The core of that has not changed, but the methods of getting there, the definition of the greatest, it's changed a lot lately. I suppose that's down a lot to Sasaki Kojiro. But there are others, who are good people, who have helped with that as well.

I'm - sure she's doing fine. [pause] Well, I'm not, but I hope so. [quietly] Friend have mine have gone back, too.

I hope so. She was... I had no memory of her, though she was from my world, and, yeah... I hope your friends are alright too, then.

...The same thing happened to me. She was - my wife, apparently.

...And...the memory of my father.

Memory of your father? He was a good man, then?
no subject
...Yes. He died protecting us, and making sure we could fight.

So, what drives you to follow that difficult road?

I do know that, but my path? It is going to be a long one. I won't ever be defeated. I haven't been yet, and it will never happen. Only one is proving to be a challenge in pure swordsmanship, and we've drew several times. But soon, I will defeat him as well.
My drive? It's who I am. I am a man of the sword. There is nothing else I could be, man.
