[Filtered to anyone who'd be willing to help/not kill the townspeople;]

That guy, the Master(?), keeps talking about how he's killed a lot of the people in the town and that people don't even try to help. I don't know what we could do to stop him, but I think something should be done to protect them, not just from him but from others, too. Right?

Normally I'd be more focused on other things to think about this too much, but... well. We all have enough free time. And this would be what you'd want me to do, right Jacuzzi? [all gone!]

Nobody else seemed to be doing anything like this, so I thought I'd try. If anyone has any ideas... it's pointless keeping them to yourself.

There was this kid, I think his name was Jet, who was talking about making a group to help prevent people like the Master from causing trouble. He'd probably be interested too.

It looks like there are a few of us, which is good. Groups are better at this stuff than individual people, so if we share ideas and skills it should be a lot easier.

Hey, great! I was just putting together something like this, but then the babies came and some, er, things came up. But I've got a bunch of people willing, and it'd be great if we could combine forces to make a reliable group that'll put a stop to behaviour like that.

As far as the Master goes, I've spoken with a Doctor and he says that only he and the other Doctors are capable of stopping him, but I don't know how reliable that is. But I figure that everyone has a weakness somewhere: we've got to be able to find his and make it so he can't keep hurting people.

I like the idea of keeping patrols, and more than that, I like the idea of establishing a group of vigilantes in the town itself, since they don't seem to have much of a law enforcement system there. If we could teach them to defend themselves, with our help, we can get them on their feet and we can help defend them from the evil here.

[dictated harshly] Oh well good show! A plan of action! It took the castle long enough to suggest one. Only, what, how long has he been here? Eight months or so? Killing when he pleases, his mood swinging between calm insanity and irrational anger and only now does anyone even think to do anything? Considering the numerous entries he has made to gleefully announce his body counts. Public entries at that! He has no qualms with parading his accomplishments. He revels in your reactions, having no remorse for his own doings, and I have no doubt in my mind he would be pleased to see that you have finally taken notice.

Honestly, it's little wonder he has existed so long in this castle without having to exert himself in a takeover. I wondered that when I first arrived here. How could it be that the Master would be existing so peacefully with so many beings. Now I know. You people are floor mats! Human beings always do choose the easier path, the path of ignorance. It's just your nature. Ignore his actions and obvious instability rather than deal with it. Yet you all take to this idea as if it were only yesterday he showed his true colours. Better late than never does not apply with the Master. I suppose some distant part of me is happy that you took notice at last.

That being said, don't even bother with this idea. Myself and my other selves are the only ones capable of matching the Master and defeating him. Your actions would of course bring him amusement but nothing more. If you want something done, ask us. It is obvious none of you can do anything about him.

The Master is powerful, and brilliant. I wouldn't suggest confronting him directly. As my Sixth said - leave that to me, if it comes to that. We stopped him the last time.

Instead, focus on defending people. From him, and every other bloodthirsty resident. Watch the journals more carefully, more often - something I've resolved to do - and get people away from them.

Perhaps we could set up some sort of shelter in town, or reinforce an existing building - the hospital? I know where it is, I've been there often enough.

I know a good deal of magical defences - it would be no trouble to visit the town, cast them on residences. Or rooms, here, if people want them.

If it comes to that I'm a very capable dueller.

We could divide into teams, that might be more efficient. Fighters, healers, defenders. If people are attacked again we ought to be organised.
