Among the earliest of the assignments and the subsequent reports, there was one that covered a world born from trash, treasure, and leftovers. When the shadows were united and the other worlds faded in their wake, the castaways of each universe had to be relocated. Not every world that was destroyed produced such survivors, but the majority did. Those who remained whole were brought to a common traverse by the darkness itself. That realm was forged on the basis of survival, pieced together with fragments of the lost planets. The properties of its pseudo-existence might have been linked to the sheer desire of any one refugee.
Someone willed it to be and so it was.
Then the light triumphed and the worlds were restored. The temporary residents were returned to their rightful homes. The in-between began to fade and the gateways were locked. The world was left a ghost town, filled only with weak links of memory. Useless, as a noun, being or having no beneficial use; futile or ineffective.
Balance is an inevitable factor. That which takes is taken from.
The world eventually blinked out of existence.
Theory: all worlds are in the process of being destroyed.
If both sides of the key are trapped here, who will repair the damage?
There were the others, but they're little more than whispers of the past and present. Unreliable at best.
Your differences are possibly irrelevant. No unity, all denial and lies.
A lot of lies.
And I apologize for the negativity. Spent the past few hours digging through rubble to find my journal and right after I located it, the room... for lack of a better term, restored itself. Thank you, Cair Paradisa, for your horrible timing.

I wonder... if you were ever able to return to your world and stop Xehanort before that, what would happen to the future tense.The explanation wasn't clear enough? They're only observations. There may be no connection at all.
