Seventy-three

Slytherin Quidditch lot, I'm going out for so --

[a long pause, and the journal picks up the Doctor's breath shuddering slightly, before, in an aggressive voice laden with the effects of the Dementors:]

Well then, good thing I'm ready for you, bea --

[but the tone is shortlived as:]

No, no, this isn't -- stop. Stop, I can't -- I won't -- It was the only way to end --

Expec - expec -- EXPECTO PATRONUM!

[a thud, and just breathing now; long and slow]

I ... have no idea. [nibble of chocolate] I snapped it shut as fast as I could once it started shrieking. [nope, not ood odd at all]

Feel free to go looking for that book and have it scream at you. I'm not going back. [geez that thing's gotta be gargantuan if that's just ONE tentacle o.o starting to wonder just how big that 'lake' really is >>]

[identity profile] traveling-rose.livejournal.com 2008-01-15 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
[bit of a pause cos hello another tentacle] ... do you think there's any non-screaming books about that guy? [indicating zee giant squid by waving the chocolate in that direction]

[identity profile] traveling-rose.livejournal.com 2008-01-15 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
[wait ... whut] You've seen a squid that big before? [nibbling on the chocolate, alternating between looking at the lazily waving tentacles and the Doctor]

[identity profile] traveling-rose.livejournal.com 2008-01-16 03:19 am (UTC)(link)
[offering him one last bite of chocolate since it's nearly all gone now] An evil giant squid ... [well huh]

Why wasn't it friendly? It's not like someone could hunt it down and kill it for food. [pause] That'd be a lot of calamari. [whyyyyyy does that tentacle look like its waving at them?]

[identity profile] traveling-rose.livejournal.com 2008-01-16 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
Oh. [pause] I was half-expecting a whole story of it. [even though it doesn't do much she gives the squid a tiny wave back before settling against the Doctor a bit more]

[identity profile] traveling-rose.livejournal.com 2008-01-16 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
[fine by her but here's the obligatory 'aww no more chocolate' reaction XD] ... furry woodland creatures. Seriously?

[looking out at the waving tentacles going above and below the water ... wth would a squid want with a woodland creature? o___O though she stops the thinking long enough to nudge him with her shoulder] So ... how'd you get rid of it?

... you did get the kids back right? [o.o]

[identity profile] traveling-rose.livejournal.com 2008-01-16 03:15 pm (UTC)(link)
That's good. [yep, squid watching]

Think anything else's in that lake?

[identity profile] traveling-rose.livejournal.com 2008-01-16 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Merpeople ... seriously? [looking out to the waters, quite interested in more than just the lazily waving tentacles ... which have now gone underwater for a bit. boo >:]

[identity profile] traveling-rose.livejournal.com 2008-01-16 09:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh. [bit disappointed now] Too bad we can't see them somehow. Of all things - merpeople!
