[wait ... whut] You've seen a squid that big before? [nibbling on the chocolate, alternating between looking at the lazily waving tentacles and the Doctor]

I have. Well, maybe not that big, but close to. Not as friendly as this one, though, let me tell you. You'd be crazy to get within tentacle's length of it.

[offering him one last bite of chocolate since it's nearly all gone now] An evil giant squid ... [well huh]

Why wasn't it friendly? It's not like someone could hunt it down and kill it for food. [pause] That'd be a lot of calamari. [whyyyyyy does that tentacle look like its waving at them?]

Oh. [pause] I was half-expecting a whole story of it. [even though it doesn't do much she gives the squid a tiny wave back before settling against the Doctor a bit more]

[taking that last bit of chocolate, btw] It was getting rid of it that was the issue. People were complaining here and there, kids going missing, pets, furry woodland creatures ... did a number on a nearby farmouse with its ink once, I recall.
