[horses whinnying, and then annoyed demands for them to stop interrupting]

If this place was not odd enough as it is, a trip to the grounds introduced me to these awkward creatures in the stables. I generally do not associate with animals (other than riding animals), but these ones proved to be far too unusual to ignore. They are very ugly, and very ill-bred. They look as if their legs could never support their bodies properly.

Their bodies are rather like that of a dragon-moose's, four legged and bulky, though these ones seem far too delicate, and they have funny heads. They lack a mane, antlers, and there isn't a single spine or barbel.

[more neighing, and then more demands for them to stop making noise, lest Azula choose to terminate them]

What is this sad, pathetic excuse for a living creature, and why are they here?

For your amusement, I suppose.

It's called a horse. In my world it's a popular riding animal, although now most ride them for recreation rather than out of necessity.

You could try it.

Probably.

Do you have machines?

[identity profile] apathological.livejournal.com 2007-12-14 08:13 pm (UTC)(link)
I would think you would be. What type of machines?

Very progressive, I see. It's no wonder that you hold power.

Guns?

Harnessing the power of comets? How fascinating.

Handheld projectile weapons. They look something like this: [insert rough sketch of a pistol here]

You mean the horses?

[identity profile] greenintights.livejournal.com 2007-12-14 06:02 am (UTC)(link)
You've never seen a horse before?

[identity profile] greenintights.livejournal.com 2007-12-14 06:12 am (UTC)(link)
I'm just making sure. Now I'm wondering if you look like majority of the people here, or if you stand out like a sore thumb. =/

Royalty? Another one? Well, I was under the impression you might be green have have horns sticking out somewhere.

Horses are not pathetic creatures, they were the most common means of transportation for some and always used for cavalry units in warfare.

Don't aggitate one. Getting kicked by a horse would leave quite a mark.

You saw those, too? Ew, I stayed away from them. They looked a bit boring.

I think they kinda look like a Antelope-bison? But not quite. Dragon-moose is a bit more on. I think I remember learning about a similar creature that's now extinct or something.

Anyways, are they at least fast? We do need rides if we're to venture out past this Castle.

I'd be happy to, Azula! ♥

U-um, now? I would, but I'm waiting for a date~!

Well... I guess Mr. Gai will have to wait, then! I'll go outside now. ♥

You really shouldn't judge by appearances. I've ridden some of those horses; they're graceful, powerful creatures if they've a mind to be.

I would suggest you don't upset them.

A dragon-moose? That's a weird combination.
