Is everybody sick? I'm not feeling particularly bad-just a small cough and sore throat.

Should I be sicker, or does it vary?

[coughs] And the castle won't keep anyone from being captured and tortured, especially if it's discovered that I can't defend myself as well as usual.

That's unconfirmed, but people tend to treat it as if it's true, and so far it hasn't proved demonstrably false.
