If my instincts lead me to believe so, and there is nothing to prove contrary, then yes, I would.

It's the explanation you've chosen to connect to your discovery that lacks substance and foils the idea. He's not here. His presence and enforced order haven't shaped this castle. In the event of his success, why would he not be a part of the final results? Or why would he grant such a thing to certain traitors but not a few of the still absent loyalists?

You shouldn't secondguess those feelings. Just the credit, really. There's too many dead ends right now to be sure what was responsible for the change.
