*Spell Eleven*

How odd these human holidays.

I am ashamed to admit that I am intrigued, however. I did do some research in the library. it turns out that humans once celebrated the death of their loved ones and those they had known on this night. They lit candles for their souls and told stories to the spirits.

Then the celebration became bastardized by some people known as Christians. They damned their predecessors of the holiday and turned the holiday into an evil night, one on which demons and beings known as witches and ghosts would roam the night, haunting and possessing those whom they encountered.

After that characterization, the night became one of costumes and candy for little children.

[a recorded sigh that sounds like a laugh, too]

How odd humans are.

...

I am partially tempted to participate in the festivities. I wonder if I have gone insane?

[a pause where Eclipse mutters a brief spell to light a few candles and levitate them outside of his door]

Really?

I'd love it if you came along. ♥

[identity profile] fragmentedangel.livejournal.com 2007-10-31 10:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes. They wouldn't laugh. Girls are very scary.

They are. That's really odd, because they are, occasionally.

...

I can bring you something or well, the ghosts can. And I could fix your hair. ♥

Braid it.

It's long enough to, right?

[identity profile] fragmentedangel.livejournal.com 2007-10-31 10:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Only ... that is long enough, and we can even put in a few bows.

[identity profile] fragmentedangel.livejournal.com 2007-11-01 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, all right, yes, I can do that. Perhaps? That's wonderful. I like braiding hair, though I can never find anyone who would let me do it. It'll be fun.

[close journal, and heads over to his room]

[bounces into the room]

I wonder that as well. Vincent does but he only does in the sense that he cuts his hair off and give it to me. That is not the same at all.

[identity profile] fragmentedangel.livejournal.com 2007-11-01 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
I thought so, there is no point to braiding if it is not attached to one's head.

Yes. I do not know.

[inwardly squees before starting to brush hair so that it can begin braiding]

I suppose so, yes. You're very nice to let me braid your hair. I wonder if others will too. I was losing hope, but you gave me some.

[identity profile] fragmentedangel.livejournal.com 2007-11-01 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
You are. That is an odd thing to say, you're always giving me some sense of hope.

[begins braiding ♥]

Oh, that reminds me, did you remember the question that I asked you?

[identity profile] fragmentedangel.livejournal.com 2007-11-01 01:52 am (UTC)(link)
I thought so.

[confused pause]

About the kind of person that you would like. We could try to find that person relatively quickly if you give me schematics.

[identity profile] fragmentedangel.livejournal.com 2007-11-01 02:02 am (UTC)(link)
[smiles] Yes.

[soft disappointed sound] I suppose that it is a hard one to answer.

[back to braiding]

You'd make a pretty girl.

[identity profile] fragmentedangel.livejournal.com 2007-11-01 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you. And I'll do my best to find that person

[pink bow inserted here]

You're welcome. I think it is the long hair.

[identity profile] fragmentedangel.livejournal.com 2007-11-01 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
[pauses to think]

It probably is.

[identity profile] fragmentedangel.livejournal.com 2007-11-01 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
I've found most men do not like to be thought of as feminine looking.

[nods to itself as it returns to braiding]

I had no idea there was so much backstory.

[identity profile] galacticthief.livejournal.com 2007-10-31 09:58 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd just filed it away as another strange Earth thing.
