How odd these human holidays.
I am ashamed to admit that I am intrigued, however. I did do some research in the library. it turns out that humans once celebrated the death of their loved ones and those they had known on this night. They lit candles for their souls and told stories to the spirits.
Then the celebration became bastardized by some people known as Christians. They damned their predecessors of the holiday and turned the holiday into an evil night, one on which demons and beings known as witches and ghosts would roam the night, haunting and possessing those whom they encountered.
After that characterization, the night became one of costumes and candy for little children.
[a recorded sigh that sounds like a laugh, too]
How odd humans are.
...
I am partially tempted to participate in the festivities. I wonder if I have gone insane?
[a pause where Eclipse mutters a brief spell to light a few candles and levitate them outside of his door]

I'd love it if you came along. ♥

If there is to be a certain costume requirement, however, I do not know what I would wear.
no subject
You could be a girl.
no subject
A girl, Nataku? The purpose of costumes is to scare people. Not force them to laugh themselves into oblivion.

[a looooonngg-aaasssss pause]
I do not have anything that would look like women's clothing.

...
I can bring you something or well, the ghosts can. And I could fix your hair. ♥

It's long enough to, right?
no subject
It only falls to the floor. Is that long enough?

Bows?

It may seem odd, but I do not feel like discussing this over journals. Will you come up to my room? Perhaps I will let you braid my hair. I do not know about dressing as a female, though...

[close journal, and heads over to his room]

[door opens]
I wonder why you cannot find anyone to let you braid their hair?
no subject
I wonder that as well. Vincent does but he only does in the sense that he cuts his hair off and give it to me. That is not the same at all.
no subject
Is this is Vincent with black hair like mine? I wonder why he would cut off his hair...
[and here Eclipse unties his hair and sits down at his desk]
Ahh, well. There is a first tie for everything, they say.
no subject
Yes. I do not know.
[inwardly squees before starting to brush hair so that it can begin braiding]
I suppose so, yes. You're very nice to let me braid your hair. I wonder if others will too. I was losing hope, but you gave me some.

[begins braiding ♥]
Oh, that reminds me, did you remember the question that I asked you?
no subject
[and this is Eclipse playing dumb]
The question?
no subject
[confused pause]
About the kind of person that you would like. We could try to find that person relatively quickly if you give me schematics.
no subject
I have thought about it, yes, but I do not think I have a perfected answer for you...
no subject
[soft disappointed sound] I suppose that it is a hard one to answer.
[back to braiding]
You'd make a pretty girl.
no subject
[a snort of amusement]
Thank you?
no subject
[pink bow inserted here]
You're welcome. I think it is the long hair.

It probably is.

I just had the oddest urge to research the origins this morning.
