People of the Castle,
It has been terribly rude of me not to have written sooner, in case you have been worried of my condition, but I have taken escape to the outdoors and riding across the beautiful surrounding landscape. Staring at the same stone walls each day did nothing for my well being and sleep has been particularly disturbed. It feels much less a prison from the outside, though reality is difficult to ignore for long. I have returned for the meantime.
Since arriving I have explored the castle extensively and have oriented myself to proper locations, but I admit to be highly concerned upon my various findings. Assistance in the matter would be most appreciated.
[Detailed sketches of a microwave, a refrigerator, a light switch, an electric socket, a toaster, and a curling iron.]
What are these unusual objects and what is their purpose?
Most Curiously,
Sir Griffith

I could hardly believe my eyes, General. It is probably witchery, however. You must'nt linger near these oddities!

The first thing is a microwave. You can cook stuff in it, though I dunno how it works. The second thing is, uh, a refridgerator. It keeps food cold. The next thing iiiis.. that's just a light switch! You use it to turn lights on and off, that's not THAT hard...
Next thing's just a wall socket.. you plug stuff into it for electricity. After that is a toaster. It kinda.. well, it toasts things, like the name suggests. The last thing... uh. Man, is that a curling iron? Did you see that in the KITCHEN? Cuz that's odd.

And I've already figured all of that shit out. The first one is just fucking noisy and useless. It's some kind of 'whizzer' and it spins. I think it is just used to put things on display, since it lights up and spins and shit.
The other one is a food freezer. People must like to eat their stuff cold in these times. The third one activates some sort of artificial sun.
The fourth one is called a magic bolt incinerator. It shoots sparks and burns things, and obviously people take it in to battle or something. Its tail is vital to its survival.
The fifth is a heated sword.
Why do you gotta go ask everyone? You could have just asked me.

You've really never heard of these things before?

But... I think the explaination was just the science behind the magic. It helps that I'm used to seeing these sorts of things.
Do you need the rest of them explained? I wouldn't want to bore you with information you don't want.
Although... While you were looking, did you happen to find something like this?
