They seem to be modeled after some species of birds. The likeness of which I have not seen before. No doubt the rather rude markings on some are not native features. Nothing but paper on silver strings.

The art of their folds and the devotion to their creation was time well spent. Even if they are no more than decorations. To those who created them, it was considerate gesture that I am certain is appreciated.

Cranes. I'd rather like to see one someday. Should this castle again decide to make diverse the populace within its realms.

They're relatively rare in my homeland. And knowing some of the tenant's habits, I can't help but worry for their well-being.

This is true. At the least the creatures named as pets do not seem to be often mistreated.

That's because they are kept as 'pets'. Most families take care of those animals like as if they were one of them.

Yes, and they represent longevity.

Pets are fortunate to be a part of those groups. Families are defined in many ways, just the same as they can be broken.

It is a shame that such a creature should perish. Surely there is hope for their species given your thoughts for them.
