 Since Halloween is approaching, I am assuming some people will want costumes.  If you ask politely and if I have time, I'll be willing to make them for you.

I don't really intend on celebrating it except with a good cup of tea. However, several other people do intend on celebrating it which is why I am offering to make costumes.

Halloween is... oh, this is hard to explain. Halloween is a holiday where children go from house to house in some sort of costume and gather candy. Not the original purpose, but that explaination will have to do. Unless you want a history lecture.
