Ugh, come ON! What a hunk of junk! Print already!!

[Frustrated clicking/keysmash noises go here] Researching stuff would be a lot easier if this stupid piece of crap didn't freeze every five seconds! Are all computers in this year this bad?!

Guessin' there's no chance none of you saw that, huh?

Anyone else really missing the castle right now?

[it's early, EARLY... too early for this... at least for him... Some incoherent mumbles can be heard before the alarm clock is tossed against the wall.

Did he say something like "five more minutes"? No idea... All I know is that he's gonna be late again if someone doesn't wake him up... He skipped classes once already :| don't let it happen again!]

I take it back, the castle isn't that bad. I forgot how boring board meetings were.

I've got plans to head to The Dining Room for dinner this evening. [eta: notation written in here after talking to Moonbay --] -- Reservations are at seven, I can send a car for you if you need. I'm buying, too. - Oliver

Anyone feel like joining me? I know the owner. [a beat] Well, I know the owner of The Langham Huntington. [another beat] Okay, apparently, I own it.

Regardless - Dinner this evening, anyone?

Fuck classes. Anyone up for a drive? I got a car, so forget the "must be 25 to rent a vehicle" bullshit. Call it wishful thinking, but I want to check someplace out.

I... I owe some apologies. A lot of you, I don't even know your names, but I know I've hurt some of you one way or another. I just want to say that wasn't me. I mean... It was me, Joshua Christopher, but I wasn't myself. And...apologizing seems so shallow, but I don't know what else to say, except—

If you want to make sure it doesn't happen again, when this castle changes, then I can tell you how to stop me. ...How to kill me, if necessary.

So far, elementary school has proved to be nothing short of worthless and a waste of my time.

The teacher is wholly incompetent –– history lessons are boring to begin with, and this woman manages to reduce them to simple notes on the culture of the time. No mention of dates, wars, or specific historical figures. Just forty minutes of boring rambling and "games" to drill THE most obvious facts into my classmates' tiny brains.

Did you know that the Egyptians lived in pyramids? That's so shocking.

Not.

I am officially too cool for school.

Next to them stands Donald Duck. Unmoving. He, too, is smiling; though it's the kind of smile that rather freezes you than anything else. He turns his head towards something behind you and stares. For a minute. Before walking away into the staff area.]

[Being on Guts' bad side = a distinct requirement of hospital treatment.

Hospital treatment when lacking a castle-run clinic = a need of funding to supply said hospital treatment once the old stitches have been taken out, new ones put in and drugs generously administered. None of which had been a result of personal choice - he'd awoken in a hospital bed much to his own alarm, and after spending a good while convincing himself he hadn't been taken captive by some bizarre race of malnourished sea... sky... plant beast things, had been handed a bill. And for all the money he supposedly had, locked away in a vault somewhere, he was unable to pay it. Computers? Chip and pin? What?

Look! I learned that in school today, and it was my first time there! We do things like arts and crafts, and singing, and circle time. The nap time is awesome! Did you know that the teacher gives you blankets and you just get to sleep? School isn't hard at all! I wasn't even nervous!!

This is a song I learned:

Clean up! Clean up! Everybody... underwear.....

About the Archive

"Paradisa Lost" is the archive of what the journals contained between December 1st, 2006 and January 10th, 2012. On that final day, Paradisa issued new journals, so that the residents could fill them up again. While there are still residents around who have old journals, we have chosen to preserve the old journals here for muns' reference and history.

"Lost" in the title refers to both the old journals that the residents once kept, and also to our move to Dreamwidth from the original Livejournal community, where Paradisa started. It is a fresh start for muns, as well as for the characters.
