[It's the ballroom, which has recovered completely from the ball the castle held, and it's decorated with just a few remnants of Christmas. There's a few tables with assorted desserts, and an open bar that's serving alcoholic drinks; or cocoa and hot apple cider.

When you enter say hello to Rose, and place your name into the hat she's got. After an hour of people mingling, she'll be coming around to all of you asking you to draw a name, so you can find your new gift. Do you think you'll like what's inside? No? Well that's okay, you can go ahead and swap it with someone else. Then at ten o'clock Rose will tell everyone to open their new gifts and you'll all be in for a surprise!]



Well, this should be interesting, at the very least. [waits for people to show up]

[after wandering around and leaving presents for people, Faye flops down on her couch in the lobby and flips open her journal to get her daily dose of gossip. She sighs, and fidgets with her bracelet like she often does...but this time, something happens. It responds. There's a tiny electronic beeping sound.]

What the fu--

[she's cut off by a MASSIVE explosiony-type sound, as the front door of the Castle--and the wall it's attached to--is promptly smashed through. For anyone within sight, there is now a single-person spacecraft sitting in the lobby.

Faye wastes no time, asks no questions. Just barely leaving enough time to grab her journal and pack of smokes from the table, she runs over and jumps into her ship. After some button-pushing and machinery sounds, there is another torrential explosion/whooshing sound as things in the lobby are blown and knocked around from the ship lifting up, and smashing back through the broken wall. ...Within a minute or so, everything is quiet again, and Faye is gone.]


[ooc: Faye got her Redtail zipcraft for Christmas, and she's taken off somewhere. She still has her journal though, just in case someone feels like asking her what the hell she did to the lobby. Also, if you think I might have forgotten Faye's present to you, I probably have. Leave me a message about it!]

Paradisa really loves this holiday, doesn't it? It makes a big deal out of it every year, with the kissing and the decorations and the whole build-up, especially this month. It's kind of fun to see the festivities though, and spend time with the people who are special to you, and give gifts...

It's sort of weird to think it's only been the second Christmas I've ever experienced, really. Paradisa makes it such a presence, it's hard to just ignore - we have to adapt to it instead. Lucky for most parts it isn't too onerous. Even with the kissing, although I'm personally okay that that part is over.

How many people here do celebrate this at home or some equivalent holiday? How has Paradisa changed the way you celebrate, or has it?

[Lucy has her journal open, as she nearly always does, so from her room comes the generic sounds of someone unwrapping presents. It's all quiet and mundane until suddenly there's a flurry of sounds in quick succession:

- a hissing noise;
- a startled gasp;
- a louder hissing noise, quickly cut off by
- a VERY loud snarl from Lucy's Arcanine combined with
- two cats yowling and then bolting for cover;
- a general melee.

Then it's quiet again, save for ragged breathing and barely-audible growling. After a moment, someone can be heard getting up and moving to where the journal is, before writing appears]

I don't suppose anyone would care to heal a snake bite?

Even though my Unit 02 has been severely downsized, it's still an Evangelion and far superior than any other world's sorry mecha! You know, it's not only you super-powered freaks that can play hero!
