[Sounds of movement, feet shifting across the floor in a rapid pattern, further, then closer, then further again. There's a swooshing sort of sound and then it stops, abruptly, and is followed by a sharp, surprised sound of pain. A long pause follows, and then the pattern starts up again, steps, swooshes (because that's the technical sound. really), and then another exclamation followed by a rapid string of curses in languages varying from Japanese to Italian to English and back again]

Was exploring the castle and found a sword. Considering mine was stolen, once again, before I arrived her, I found this highly fortuitous. After thirty years having to imagine one with each movement of the various katas, practicing without...I could truly begin to train once more. I thought, perhaps, it would be...helpful in finding some sort of...

Apparently, I can't.

I've cut myself, twice, on exceptionally simple moves I have been doing for well over 340 years. I don't...it's practice, it's simple. I put the sword down, and I can do it, but the moment it enters my hands, what my brain says to do with it and what my body will do refuse to coincide. The harder I try, the less I am able.

I don't understand.
