Hmm. I expected the full moon to look more impressive, here.

[ooc: B) Apparently Shuukaku gets giant boners for the full moon.]

[complicated equations, mostly in Gallifreyan, sprawl across the page - some jumbled together, others off in the corners, all eventually equal to zero]

Zip. Nada. Zilch. Nothing. [pen jab for emphasis]

All of it.

To pass the time, I've been appraising my room in terms of what each piece of furniture would bring on the open market. I have to say, nice as it all is, it wouldn't be worth much. At least, not in comparison to other things I've dealt.

... Some of the stone in the bathroom could fetch a decent price, maybe. If anyone happened to be doing temple renovations.

[pen taps]

I really miss that sometimes. Do you suppose it might be possible to establish trade with the people in the city? They must need some of this stuff. And in return--[only loosely scribbled out]

[dictated musingly]

It's interesting to watch what people will do when left to their own devices.

...

No government, indeed no leader of any kind. No rules or laws to regulate behavior. Nearly any wish granted in the blink of an eye.

And yet- We're given these rooms and we stay in them. We follow the rules of our old societies, or at least our old patterns of behavior. We treat an abnormal situation as if it's strictly by the book. We acquire an enhanced toleration for violence, certainly, but in how many of us did that already exist?

['hmm'] There isn't a point to this, before anyone asks. I'm merely thinking out loud. If it bothers or bores you, well. I'd suggest you jail me, but we don't possess one, now do we?

[Dictated from a short distance away - She's laying on the floor :D]

Leo-Lion is back, but Reach is gone.

Yo-Yos back and forth.

Ed doesn't want to know who's next.

Is there always so much noise around here? Even if I have my journal closed I can hear people.

My head is killing me.
[identity profile] hotrod-mckay.livejournal.com
[Varying muttering and grumbling, and several calculations are scribbled unknowingly into the open journal. A few moments later, there is a recorded beep. Then two more.]

Oooooooh CRAP!

[Que a thump as someone tosses themselves behind their bed, and then a small (but loud) explosion. After a few pained moments of silence, there is a long, unamused sigh. Following dictated snarkily]

Well...There goes number three. And it shouldn't have either...[Grumbling follows]

Volunteers

The numbers at the clinic have been steadily decreasing. Many of the workers have disappeared to go home. It's a good thing that they're back with family and friends. I just worry about how it will affect things here.

Miss Sakura is in charge, of course, but anyone wanting to help out in the clinic is welcome to come by. I know that I will keep volunteering there as much as I can. It is such a satisfying feeling to help someone.

I suppose those that have lived here a long time have gotten used to people suddenly disappearing, but it's still relatively new to me. And I feel sad noticing people I grew to know are no longer here, even if it does mean they've gone back home.

[sounds of stuff shifting, but it's only sight, then a disbelieving]

What the hell?!

[written]

Who messed with my wardrobe?!

A week or so of quiet, then something seems to blow up in everyone's faces. It's quiet times like this that takes me back to the good old days~ The castle sure has gotten ornery in its old age. Grumpy as the children pack up and leave it, and the new ones more often than not prove disappointments. Really though, at its age, tsk, really should stop trying to bring more children into the world.

I wonder if gray hair will start growing out the window...

{pause}

People should probably start staying off the grass too. Never know what might happen~

First Oz, now Spike. I went to his room this morning and he wasn't there, and I haven't been able to find him since. Maybe my showing up was just what the gang needed. A kick in the pants back home. Cordy, Faith, you're next.

I declare this movie night. What better day than Wednesday? If you need me, that's where I'll be.

[ OOC: So very much feigning happiness, for WOE she misses Spike. Especially since she now knows what'll happen to him when she returns home. ]

There truly is nothing exciting to do here, is there? Even Momo-san is bored.

[a sigh]

I have nothing to say.

It's quiet today.

Hey there, Melmel. How does a small irritating little thing like you find a way to be amused around this place?

[a whisk of claws slashing, then a peeved "Mrorr..."]

... Well, that's one.
[identity profile] difficultly.livejournal.com
Out of curiosity; what's the average age of the residents here?
[identity profile] loving-light.livejournal.com
[Recorded; sounds of hesitant footsteps, and quiet muttered words]

... Stupid fourth floor...

[[OOC: Lol, Kairi never got past the fourth floor on her little expedition. She's going past it now to get to the upper floors and look at names on the doors.]]

[still all dictated]

It's... lively here, but it isn't the same.

I almost miss the sound of heavy artillery in the morning.

Nice paint job, Tin Man.

[there are multiple scratched out sentences]

No. I've nothing important to say to you lot as of this moment. You're not worth the time, nor the effort.

... Figures.

[a long silence, then a heavy sigh]

I think I want a real pet now...

((OoC: Safe to assume the little green lantern pooch that attached itself to him is gone? :x))

You know...after nearly a year here you'd think I'd get used to the mind numbing boredom this place sometimes brings. But nope...

Maybe it's one of those unexplainable things here.

Any bets on when shit will hit the fan next?

..And book recommendations too, since I gotta kill time...but anyone who recommends Shakespeare will be asked to go read something else for once yo.

About the Archive

"Paradisa Lost" is the archive of what the journals contained between December 1st, 2006 and January 10th, 2012. On that final day, Paradisa issued new journals, so that the residents could fill them up again. While there are still residents around who have old journals, we have chosen to preserve the old journals here for muns' reference and history.

"Lost" in the title refers to both the old journals that the residents once kept, and also to our move to Dreamwidth from the original Livejournal community, where Paradisa started. It is a fresh start for muns, as well as for the characters.
