I woke up this morning in a bed not in the training house, or on Serenity. I don't remember being told we were docking anywhere, and even if we were, I think I'd remember leaving the ship and getting settled. Nevermind that this doesn't look like anywhere I've ever been before. It certainly isn't somewhere any of my clients would inhabit. They may be well-off men, but a castle? Even I don't dare to reach that high.

Since this journal seems to be connected to the journals of others, would anyone care to explain to me where I am, and what I'm doing here?

Every shirt I have in this closet is pink. Why couldn't there have at least been some red thrown in? White, even? I mean, considering the holiday theme, those are usually the associated colors.

At first I didn't mind it that much, but it's been this way for days now. I'm starting to get tired of it.

Shirts are still pink but I guess it's.. slowly wearing off. I think I can manage to wear them for a little longer. Though any more and I think my eyes are going to burn from all the brightness. I'm thankful that they're not bright. Pastel's fine with me.

Gaston--I don't like being stood up. If this keeps up, I'll have Ping take me to the masquerade instead!

All of my cosmetics and clothing are pink. Even my tentacles are pink. Unfortunatly, I find that darker colors are a little more flattering to my complexion. I've been trying to brew some sort of potion to remedy this situation, but so far nothing seems to work.

I think I'll dress up as a mermaid for the masquerade. Wouldn't that be quaint?

Now that I've come to, as it were, I await an appearance by one of two people in this magnificently appointed fortress. I'm hoping the one who does show up is the one with an extra chromosome. Will Graham and Clarice Starling are the only two people who have ever had the distinction of "getting the drop on me," as is said, though nothing explains the fact that this resembles a frantic amalgam of cultural architectures more than a prison. Interesting.

I decided to wait out Valentine's Day in my room, as I've just taken to sighing heavily and looking for a mailbox in the meantime. I've composed a number of letters. I write more, it seems, when I'm...

Anxious. It sounds terrifically tragic to even be considering it. Perhaps it is just some well-devised sedative still wearing off. Well, I suppose I should at least be grateful that this is just a journal. I wouldn't want that information going public.

I think I've made some progress! While it may be that I've completely incompacitated some of the video game systems (may they rest in peace), I've got it to at least turn on. Now all I have to do is format it... and... somehow make a keyboard....

Anyway. I hope none of you were hoping to play that Xbox 360. It came quite in handy. (The older one's still there, though...)

Once I get it working, maybe I can start some sort of database with the library books. I also think I should see if I can do anything with the journal... it seems to have some types of.......... [erased over a few times] Abilities.

Hopefully it'll be more quiet around here with everyone at the party.
