[pencil stops, and clatters to the floor somewhere]
[Dictated] Do explain why this is thought to be fun. It is inaccurate and far more time-consuming than, say, using code to represent proper scale and stability.
Maybe because we humans don't have any other option if we want to create something... unless we would like to have a child every time we get bored and would like to do so.
Such odd urges humans possess. I would assume by your slight defensiveness that you are both human and one that enjoys creating the likenesses of material objects in this manner?
Oh goodness not even in the slightest. The monstrosities that come onto paper when I attempt to even approach the subject that is 'art' are something that could burn your eyes, I'm sure. I have no talent whatsoever in the area. Apologies if I sounded defensive. I'm sure it's just the mood I find myself in.
I don't know. I used to do so a whole lot, because I was too weak to do anything else. I don't know if it was fun or no, but those that I drew pictures for [pause] I don't know. But Mother laughed and said that she liked her drawing and that made me feel ... happy.
Well, there are some people that are no good at coding. They simply pass the time using what talent they have to their fullest extent. Some draw, some sing, some set other people on fire...

I am not unfamilliar with pleasure, but no such experience was derived from depositing processed carbon material onto paper.

Humans have been creating likenesses of objects since they had opposable thumbs.
Surely, then, there must be some pleasure in it?
I did not experience any.

Well that was rather anti-climatic, at any rate.

I doubt it would harm any retinas, but your sentiment is amusing and self-depricating enough to be charming. Apologies are quite unnecessary.

Perhaps your spatial perception is weak. Combined with the unusual physical dexterity required, it is not difficult to be inaccurate when drawing.

Is that not right then?

No, it is good. You, through expending time, made... Mother pleased. It was then not a waste.
