Happy Canada day!
Well, that was fun. Didn't think I'd get up there for the concert, but I seem to have managed. I'm a bit disappointed that I couldn't play like I said I would... but the fireworks, oh, they were pretty. Amazing that we're all stuck here in close quarters, friends and enemies with similarities and differences, trapped here with no way out and missing something important from our lives, yet we can all come together like we did last night and do something productive that makes being here bearable, even a little. Inspiring.
Rose, you feeling all right? Blimey, you can sleep for a long time. How's your head?
Oh! Also, I'd like to speak to... [page flipping] Doctor Kurosaki? Right, I've got a question about medical files and castle residents and preventing disasters like the aspirin problem we had a few days ago, if you don't mind.
((ooc: Speaking of Canada day, I'm off to the Concert on the Hill because I'm a CANUCK. I won't be here to answer tags for the rest of the day. ♥ Back now!))

Ten
Shut it. At least I got sleep like you told me to - it just happened to be on your floor.
My head still feels terrible. Though, I'm not vomiting as much. That's an improvement ... a very welcome one.
Wait ... you went to that ... WHAT?!
Rose
Yup, all my doing.
That's good. And, er, yes, I did. You see, Ruby needed my help and I'd already promised Lana that I'd go, so really, I didn't want to let those two down... and it was a good concert? You wouldn't believe some of the talent we have around here. I'm okay, really. Healing up nicely.
Ten
... most likely right there. Was I really out that long?
Really now ... or are you just saying that to stop me from coming by? [sounds of her struggling to get up] I really should go and check up on both of you ...
Rose
Ain't no thang. [:)] Looked like you needed it.
No! Really, I am. I'm a quick healer. Right now it's no more than a dull pain with some spasms, and that'll go away soon enough. But your head, anything I can get you while I'm up? Tea? Coffee? Aspirin? [transcribed 'ugh' noise]
Ten
I think I'd be more shocked if you had gone and said I managed to sleep peacefully. Probably won't happen for awhile. [sigh]
Oh fine then. How's the Doctor doing? ... wait ... oh you know who I mean. Still talking up a storm, plotting to party when your back's turned? [transcribed groan and the sound of her just flopping back onto the pillows she had been propped up on]
Tea sounds lovely ... and whatever else you can think of. But NO coming up here until you've made sure he's doing fine ... and take your time, no injuring yourself more.
I'll just ... wait right here.
Rose
Oh yeah, you wouldn't believe the conversations we've been having. Well, they're more one-sided conversations than anything; he doesn't shut up. Honestly, there's only so much you can say about the Sombrero Galaxy before it just gets boring. As for the party, he's extremely sneaky about it.
Fine, fine, I'll do a once-over on him. But I'll tell you now, not much of a change. He might wake up soon, but soon's my best guess... I'll get the tea up to you in a few.
Ten
The Sombrero Galaxy? [weary amused snort] Probably sending out invites anytime you're distracted by something.
Thank you. Tell him I'm sorry I can't go down there today. Soon is better than nothing.
Rose
[pause] All right, I will. And it is. Put a lot of stock in 'soon', I do, because 'soon' can be either 'tomorrow' or 'next week'.
[the journal is set down and the rest is recorded as he goes to attend to Nine;]
Oi, you lump. [sound of things being dug out for checking up] Rose's still feeling a little under the weather, can't come by, says she's sorry. [checkup noises :D] Though I'll have you know I feel rather ridiculous talking to you when you're like this. It's like talking to myself. And I don't know if you can even hear me or if you're storing this away in your subconscious or what have you, or if I'm just nattering away at the air. [pause] Well, I am talking to myself anyway, talking to you, aren't I? So it's rather ridiculous anyway even when you are awake.
[pause]
Hearts are all right, as I expected.
[back to the journal for a moment]
Ten
I'd prefer if 'soon' were 'tomorrow' or 'this week', but still ... far better than 'next month' or 'nev-' ... right.
[sounds of her settling more comfortably amongst her pillows, and you know she's grinning at Ten blah-blahing about the ridiculousness of talking to himself]
Good. At least he hasn't gotten worse. I'll try and get down there ... tomorrow.
Rose
I don't doubt that; kicks me enough when I'm trying to sleep. One of these days I'm going to wake up on the floor and he's going to have the whole of the bedspread wrapped around him.
[some rustling noises]
Come on, be an - ow - optimist. If he doesn't wake up this week we can look forward to next week, despite the fact that we'll all become quite discouraged after a while. Got a good feeling about this week, though. [odd clicking noise] Everything seems to be in order here... all right. See that, Nine? Rose'll be by tomorrow. Well, hopefully, taking the elipses into consideration. Ah -- Rose, have you thrown up again, or has your stomach settled?
Ten
Funny ... I would have thought you'd be the one to hog the covers. [:P]
I hope your good feeling is spot-on and he'll be up and about this week. Though, yes that'd give us something to look forward too. I'll be by tomorrow, but if I don't make it's probably best to assume I never made it out of bed. You think with all this sleep I'd be getting better quicker ...
[long pause] I threw up twice earlier. Big improvement. I'm not actually camped out in there anymore.
Rose
Yeeees, this week is feeling especially lucky. And I'll be expecting you, then. If you need anything tomorrow, either, by the way, and you're feeling too sick to get anything just drop me a line, all right? I'll be down in a few.
[getting-ready-to-leave noises] Good. Need anything to settle your stomach while I'm up, or are you feeling good enough to go without?
Ten
Hmmmm ... could you bring something for Queenie too? Thanks.
[pause] I'd like to try going without but bringing something just in case would be good. Whatever you think will work best.
no subject
[avoidant tone; liar!] Nothing. Whacked - ow - my knee. I'll survive.
Certainly. Tea for you, treat for Queenie. And this isn't going to help my current waiter-like position, but what d'you want in your tea?
Right, something for the stomach, too. [a list of the things he needs is jotted down the side of the page]
Ten
Oh but you have serving staff experience already! [heh] Just sugar for now. Not too sure I should be adventurous and have cream in there too. I'd like to keep said tea in my stomach.
Looks more than a bit like a grocery list there. [jokingly] The TARDIS is out of milk too Doctor.
Rose
Do I? -- Oh, I do, don't I. All right, tea, one sugar. Not too hot, side of dog treat, and some... I dunno, pepto-bismol?
Groceries! How horribly domestic of me. [sigh] I'll have to get the post-it notes out, won't I? Can't have a TARDIS without some milk in the fridge. We might run into Acidians. And dry cereal.
Ten
[laugh] I was wondering how much longer it'd be before you'd start in complaining about things being domestic. And yes, get the post-it notes out. Dry cereal is a tragedy that just can't happen to us. Next thing you know this castle'll bring in [hiss~ ow headeache coming on again ;~;] an Acidian just to spite us cause of our lack of milk in the TARDIS.
Rose
Oh, trust me, it's been a battle. You wouldn't believe some of the urges I've had to either do something to radically undomesticate this place or camp out in the TARDIS for a change of scenery. And dry cereal is a terrible thing, much like Paradisa's sense of humour. Go hand in hand, they do.
((ooc: LOL. I read that as 'Acadian'. XD Too much time in French class.))
Ten
I'd much prefer it if my cereal didn't have something in common with this insane place.
Rose
[sound of a door opening and closing]
Once you put milk in it it doesn't anymore, does it? The cereal's no longer a bad thing, but there's Paradisa, still being a right old stick in the mud.
Ten
Stick in the mud is probably putting it lightly.
