Six months. I've been in this place, Paradisa, for a half a year. This is what I know:
In other words, all I know is what I've seen. There is no other information to be found--how does this place work? Who made this place? Why us? Why now (or then, six months ago)?
I don't really want to go back. A world without Umbrella is good enough for me, even with all the deaths and the tricks... as well as the lack of memories. But the questions remain about this place, and that's what gets me. No one has come close to an answer, and that's ridiculous. People have been here longer than I have, but all they do is
[sound of a pen hitting the page with some force behind it; the rest of the entry is dictated]
So, how many of us have given up, and how many of us are still looking for a way out?
Unless the giant robots are actually appealing...
- Paradisa pulls in people from other worlds that exist independently from each other. I've met several people claiming to be from Earth, but they've never heard of Umbrella or the Raccoon City incident. Some come from different time periods, both past and future. Paradisa is the middle.
- Death is not a factor in Paradisa. Both people dead in their worlds and dead here have returned. I know this for a fact: Luis Sera, whom I saw die with my own eyes, was here. There are countless others as well. They're able to function just like anyone else would
- People disappear just as randomly as they are pulled in. Sera, for instance, has disappeared. Other residents have also gone missing, presumably returned to their worlds... or death. It is unknown why or how they disappear, though I doubt it's of their own doing.
- Something is lost when one arrives in Paradisa. I don't know if lost is the right word... but it ranges from memories to the ability to walk. Additional things can be lost, sporadically, but they seem to come back after a week. A notable exception is the case of Ravi and Kanda: from what I know, their prices seem to have switched.
- One can get anything they desire in Paradisa, given that it's a material item. There's never a shortage of food. Asking a ghost for an item will ensure that it winds up in your room (which is accommodating... if not a little too much so). Is this an attempt to lower our guards? To give a false sense of security? ... it seems to be working, if that's the case.
- There are ghosts. Harmless and ready to serve. Past residents, perhaps? They, much like the people in the city, do not seem to like answering questions.
- ... ? [something written, but crossed out]
