Funerals are for dead people.

Whatever.

Actually funerals are for those who are left behind and are missing this person. The body, being vacant of whatever occupied it, could care less.

Take it you don't want to come?

[identity profile] ontheclockpro.livejournal.com 2007-06-19 03:37 am (UTC)(link)
No, it's not. If it was, I know people from my world at least would know better and show respect. We're used to death.

Alright, suit yourself.

Nothing wrong Leon, with celebrating life even in a morbid fashion. Cause lives like ours, never know how much longer it'll last.

He said it. Funerals are for the dead.

[identity profile] ontheclockpro.livejournal.com 2007-06-19 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
And if there was any real dead here, we'd make sure to show them respect.

This? Just for fun, kinda a celebration of them not being dead.

[identity profile] steelblackdog.livejournal.com 2007-06-19 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
A mockery, in other words.

[identity profile] ontheclockpro.livejournal.com 2007-06-19 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
Not really. Think you missed the part about how we would actually respect the dead if they did die.

[identity profile] steelblackdog.livejournal.com 2007-06-19 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
But they're not dead, and you're holding a mock funeral. For entertainment.

It doesn't matter.

[identity profile] ontheclockpro.livejournal.com 2007-06-19 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
Heh, lemme tell you something. People like us from our world? Ain't exactly guaranteed a nice long life and retirement plan. Kinda the other way around. Same goes for a lot of people in this castle.

So, nothing wrong with celebrating life and surviving another day, even if it's in unconventional and morbid way.

Think of it that way, maybe that'll work better for you. If not, well guess I can't win them all.

[identity profile] steelblackdog.livejournal.com 2007-06-19 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
It's the same where I come from, but we use festivals the way you're using a funeral.

[identity profile] ontheclockpro.livejournal.com 2007-06-19 05:09 am (UTC)(link)
Well, consider it a funeral-themed festival. Kinda laughing in the face of our own mortality.

[identity profile] steelblackdog.livejournal.com 2007-06-19 05:31 am (UTC)(link)
I'll consider it disrespect.

[identity profile] ontheclockpro.livejournal.com 2007-06-19 05:59 am (UTC)(link)
Guessing you just aren't going to listen to whatever I say huh?

Well, whatever~ No skin off my back yo.

[identity profile] sealyourfate.livejournal.com 2007-06-19 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know it looked kind of exciting~

[identity profile] sealyourfate.livejournal.com 2007-06-19 03:41 am (UTC)(link)
Whatever right back at you, mister~

[identity profile] white-knight11.livejournal.com 2007-06-19 03:43 am (UTC)(link)
Come on Leon!

While the concept is a bit unsettling, you can't deny that they organized it all with good intentions!

Just like costumes are for people.
