[This is one of the castle traditions that Sweets tends to forget about. Maybe it because it only happens once a year, maybe because what it is that makes people kiss is always changing, but regardless of what it is, he forgets. Which means he's going about his day pretty obliviously.

You can either catch him at his office, wandering throughout the castle, or somewhere outside, playing in the snow. Because really, what respectable person doesn't take the opportunity to play in the snow every once in a while.

Regardless of where he is -- have at him. He would be more than happy to talk to you, even with those fairies floating around.]

Sweets made his way around the front of the snowman, before reaching up around his neck to start to remove his own scarf. "A donation to a worthy cause?"

"I think the scarf will be perfect," she replied, smiling a little. "Thanks." Vivian brushed some coal dust off her hands before taking off her hat. "He could use this as well."

Sweets moved forward to drape the scarf around the snowman's neck, and then moving to the side so that she could add the hat.

"I think he's good to go."

Vivian waited until he had moved before placing her hat on top of the snowman's head. Then she stood back, admiring their efforts.

"He definitely is. Thanks again for your input."

"No problem. This was fun," he nodded. "I haven't built a snowman in a while."

"Then I'm glad you enjoyed yourself," she replied with a smile. "So," Vivian began, "What do you want to do next?"

He shrugged. "I'm open to ideas."

And there are also fairies floating around, not that he noticed.

"Snowball fight?" Vivian suggested, gesturing around them. "We might as well."

The fairies aren't noticed by her either as Vivian fished in her pockets for a pair of gloves, slipping them on.

He grinned. "That's true. When there's an opportunity ... "

That sentence will trail off as there's a poof of fairy dust over his head, and instead of going for his gloves, he'll be reaching for her to kiss her.

The glittering dust hits Vivian at the same time and she moved in, allowing him to pull her closer before meeting his lips in a soft kiss.

After a moment, Vivian relaxed into the kiss and slid her arms around his neck.

Sweets holds the kiss for as long as the magic lets him, wrapping his arms around her waist and keeping her close until the moment passes and he pulls back with a bit of a frown.

" ... Merry Christmas?"

Vivian blinks up at him when he pulls away from the kiss before coming to her senses. She notices the frown and feels a bit awkward.

"Sorry about that."

He shakes his head. "Sorry. It's not you. I just ... forgot the castle does that."

"The fairies, right?" She says, putting things together. "Yeah, it happened to me a few times already."

"It wasn't always fairies. My first year here it was bells, and then the year after it was doves. Apparently this year it's fairies."

"Oh, I see. It's my first December here so I wouldn't have known that." Vivian runs a hand through her hair. "It could be something different next year, yeah?"

He nodded. "The castle likes to keep us on our toes that way. But I guess it is one of the nicer traditions that the castle has."

"Agreed. Definitely one of the nicer ones. At least now I know what to expect from the castle around this time of year."

"Hopefully you'll stick around long enough for you to swing back around again."

"Well, it's been about eight months so I don't think I'm going anytime soon. Quite the interesting experience."

"It is," he said. "It's been a rather educational one as well. I've got to speak with a lot of people from various walks of life. They really broaden your view of the world."

"Yeah, they do. I've learned a lot from them. Also got to do and see things that I never thought possible." She quickly thought about those things.

"I suppose it hasn't been too bad for me here. How about you?"

"I've actually come to like the place. Quite a bit."

"That's good," she replied amiably. "Would you ever want to leave though?"

He paused for a minute, then shrugged. "It's a tough choice. I have friends and family there, but I have friends and family here too."

"Mhm, I can see why it would be pretty tough," Vivian said thoughtfully. "I've no one I know from home here, but I've made a few friends."

Sweets nodded. "So have I. When you've been here a long time, you start to think of it as home."

"I suppose so," she mused quietly. "I'm going to head back inside before it gets too dark. How about you?"

He shook his head before pointing back towards town. "There was something I have to pick up. But it was nice seeing you, Vivian."

"It was lovely seeing you as well. Take care," she offered him a smile before turning to leave, heading back inside the castle.
