Who: Gwaine and whoever else is at the house B)
What: Snowed in and shirtless. At least there are no strange creatures that could cause havoc hanging around...
When: Today!
Where: The house
Rating: C for crack.
There is a Gwaine sitting on the couch with all the warm animals he could wrangle sitting on the couch with him. Or in the case of Ruffy and Allen the dog sitting on him sitting on the couch. He would have minded the weight from the two dogs, but as he was cold and they served as excellent heating blankets, he didn't bother pushing them off. Oliver lies beside him, his head on Gwaine's lap. He'd tried to join the duo on top of Gwaine, but three dogs was pushing it. The sad whine when he had pushed Oliver off made Gwaine feel guilty, but he rather liked breathing. Meanwhile, Elyan thinks himself king of the pride and is on Gwaine's shoulder, playing with his hair. Except in lion-speak, playing is synonymous to batting and clawing at the hair, hissing and crying every once in a while.
Gwaine sighs. He despises what his loss reduces him to sometimes.

"If you are going to bother lying to me, you might wish to make it something I would actually believe. I won't deny you are skilled, but the rest that is all a little farfetched. And you only won in Paradisa because of my eye."
And you flying off the handle about his ruling abilities. The giant elephant in the room. The biggest put on look of disdain ever at you patting his shoulder. Stop that.

He beams. One more win for him. Ignoring that elephant right now and he'll continue ignoring it as long as he wants to.

But there's so much of Gwaine that also speaks of noble intent, of unerring loyalty and an effort to do right by the people he cares about, whatever the personal cost. Which is why he's so frustrating. Arthur can't figure him out, and they're on uneven footing in a way that Arthur can't make up for.
"You should not, considering what you had done directly after." Welp, so much for ignoring it.

"I apologize for what I said, Arthur. I should not have spoken to you like that. I crossed a line. But you were behaving like an idiot."
no subject
Maybe. Arthur is a fickle being, at times. "Well, you are certainly good at telling others what you believe they wish to hear, are you not?"
He'll let the idiot slide, it's the only part of that that's familiar, for him. He doesn't really want an apology Gwaine probably doesn't even mean. He wants an explanation.

He shrugs.
"It's been my experience that most do not."
no subject
He did say you said what you thought they wished to hear, not what they actually did. "I don't want your apology."
