The One in the Lobby
Who: Anyone!
Where:
When: Monday. All Day.
Notes: Threadjacking. Action. Prose. It's all welcome.
[The lobby coffee shop is somewhat peaceful. Though, Jo is trying to figure out her menu plan for the holiday and how to get Julia to not be so depressed over her own brother being a jerk. It's really not Jo's fault. Of course, he was always the favorite, so she's really not surprised to see this huge fall from grace. It just upsets her to see her friend (and her brother) so upset.
Honestly, her brother is miserable. If she has to look at Gwaine and hear that sad, near-honking, '...hhhhi' again? Yeah, there will be blood.
You can find Jo buzzing between the kitchen in the Lux and the couches in the coffee shop. She should be working, but it's the middle of the day! Who wants to work?]

Or tell her she was terrible. There's no guarantee she'll believe you, though.]

Although he was tone deaf, Conan had sharp ears for music. He could hear every time a note was out of tune even a little. This was definitely a disadvantage right now.]
...That was interesting?

Thanks!

But right now? She'd take "Smelly Cat". She'd take anything to distract her from what transpired a couple of days ago.
The performance is over by the time she arrives. As soon as she spots Max, she'll come over and take a seat at the table too.]
How was the turnout?
no subject
It was good. Everyone seemed to have a good time.

She returns a small smile.]
I'm glad.
[And now she'll be turning to see if she can get someone's attention. Coffee is a good idea, isn't it?]
no subject
So. How're you doing?
no subject
She puts off answering for as long as she can.]
I'm... fine.

[Max does not buy that for a second]

[Oh, hey, is that her coffee coming? That totally spares her from more of a response, and provides a good cue to change the subject! So she'll latch onto that. Once she gets her coffee, she'll sip on it in silence for a few long moments before finally speaking up again.]
Seems quiet for this time of day.

Some more people will make their way through, eventually.

[and with that, she'll pull her back down onto the couch]
So how are things going with Gwaine and Julia?
no subject
Gwaine is miserable, Julia is upset -- I'm not sure how it's going to pan out but they're both going to be at Thanksgiving. So we'll see.
no subject
They'll figure it out. They usually do.
