Leaves are still managing to find their way into the basement and crunch underfoot as the guards change shifts, or flutter their way in through the bars.

[He stands there, slightly wavering, for a few more obstinate moments, but then his strength gives in and he sits back heavily on the bed with a low groan. He looks away, just breathing, quietly existing while internally he riled and wailed about AIs, and then glanced back as Wash with a resigned grunt, what you got?]

[He grunts and hunches in on himself. Getting him to admit he's hungry and getting him to eat are two distinctly different things, and he doesn't plan on breaking fast so easily.]
