What: Lois loves Halloween and no one is surprised. And she's dressing up as someone she knows and loves...

[It took Lois a little while to decide on a costume this year, even if 'Greek goddess' got cut as a possibility right back at square one. Luckily, she had a wicked idea that was rendered a lot easier by being able to wish up costume pieces in her size.

So now she's wandering around, dressed like the Green Arrow - or at least a sexy female version of him. That means she's rocking tight green tights. Think along these lines.

And yes, she's even got the bow and arrow, but... the arrows have foam tips. So yeah, some of you are getting shot in the butt when you're not expecting it.

[She hears that voice and a grin lights up her face, as she turns on a heel to face him, sassily cocking a hip to the side] I just made a couple of improvements. Maybe I'll even let you keep it when I'm done. Everyone already thinks you're tights-boy anyway.

[There's definite face-pulling here. He does not wear tights. They're leather pants, which... okay, is a bit more Riverdance than Ballet, but still.]

Really, I think I'm fine without adding that to my closet too. I think it's a bit full of all the other things the castle drags me into. Emphasis on drag.

Maybe the castle's just trying to do those delicate features of yours a favor. [She smirks, and then draws out the bow, knocking a foam arrow] By the way, this is kind of fun, after all.

[He glances to her form, shaking his head.] Keep your elbow up.

[He says it as if it's just a remark, no tone or anything, just observation.] And my delicate features don't need anymore favors.

[She'll comply sort of, and then squeeze one eye shut, tongue sticking out slightly as she takes comical aim at him and then unleashes a foam arrow right at his chest.] What do you know? A great tutor.

We all have our talents, Lois. I'm just glad to impart some of my expertise to others.

Don't get cocky on me, Ollie, or the next one's heading for your face.

[A look. Teasing, but still a look.] Lois, when have you ever known me to be anything less than honest and genuine?

"Now" comes to mind.

Is this one of those things where I can ask you to name another time, because you can't use the present tense as an example.

I'm pretty sure I don't need to provide you with examples of moments when you've been less than honest with me, Oliver. It was more an entire period.

[Confused face... get.]

The whole Green Arrow thing? [He... has this huge gap for a moment.]

Hold on. Why were you at my place that night? When Black Canary showed up.

Why was I at your apartment? Because when you came back to to--

[Oh. Right. Tess had warned her about this last time she was here. She grinds to a halt] ... youuu really don't remember. Do you.

Remember wha-- Oh.

[There's a moment of confusion on his face, because he's pretty sure he does remember - but then he recognizes that blank of a blurry spot.]

The loss... Tess told you?

She... might have mentioned it.

[He draws in a short breath, holding it as he thinks about things, then exhaling it in a huff.]

Was I... [How does he even begin to ask her about these things...?]

Were you happy? [Look, here's the deal, Lane. He sees you over the moon for Clark and if he even gave you a tenth of that happiness he'll consider himself lucky. However, he had heard what he did to Tess and he's getting worried that there's a reason the castle made him forget it all.]

Ollie, do you really think I'd still consider you one of my best friends if you'd made me miserable the whole time we were together?

[He shrugs]

I don't know, you are pretty stubborn. [He smiles] I'm glad I didn't make you miserable. [He's sure there's more to the story, that there's hurt and heartbreak in there, but he's not sure if he wants to hear how he messed it up with Lois.]

Let's just say I only knew one side of the story. And my side had a lot of very large, very green gaps.

It was easier once I knew to get past it. [sort of]

The... right. [He actually remembered her finding out, just not the parts that dealt with why she was there or the end result of his quick visit.]

Well, I'm glad you obviously remember the important stuff.
