[ This holiday has been delightful so far. She was accustomed to bright colors and delicious foods back home when a festival came around but this one, Diwali, with Paradia's usual touch of magic, made it even more wonderful. She hadn't worn her lehenga or sari yet, either.

But she was carrying a small box, with an assortment of sweets such as jalebi, laddu, and barfi. Once again, she descended down the familiar corridor of the Peace Patrol's prison, toward a certain cell. ]
