Cause we got one life to live, one love to give (Closed)

Who:  Daisy and Sweets
What: They're having a discussion about where they stand when it comes to their relationship here
When: 10/24
Where: Lance's room
Rating: PG-13 at the most

Daisy had been spending more time on her own for the past few days. Mostly because of the mixed signals being sent between the two of them. It was either stop or go and she was used to a complete green light when it came to intimacy between the two of them. Put it simply, she just didn't know where they stood and to be honest, it was causing her a bit of stress. Daisy couldn't begin to understand what he'd been through during his long stay here at the castle, but she was fresh from their world where they were just coming out of their on-again-off-again stage.

Glancing at him anxiously, she shuts the door to his room behind her and leans against it. Taking a deep breath, she brings her hands up to signal she wants his complete attention. "Lance, don't you love me anymore?" Blunt and to the point as always.

This ... was not what Sweets was expecting when he started his day.

It wasn't that he didn't still love Daisy. He did. He just didn't know how things were supposed to progress between them from here. There was a lot of time to make up for, and more to the point, he didn't know how to say it. He was working on figuring that out, but he also thought he had time before it would come up between them.

He should have known Daisy better than that.

He looked up at her, and gave her a small smile, trying not to get on the defensive too quickly. "Of course I do."

Sweets held up his hand as he listened to her ramble, and he knew she had a point. He was just so used to being without her that he wasn't sure where they stood himself.

"I understand that. And I love you too. But ... it's been almost three years for me, Daisy. And ... I don't think I can just jump back in to where we were."

That was not the reaction that he was intending to get. In fact, it was the last kind of reaction that he wanted, but at least she wasn't taking it too terribly.

"There is always a chance," he replies with a small smile. "I just need to take things slow. Remember how we were."

He frowned as well. He doesn't like seeing her disappointed, but he didn't know what else to tell her. It didn't help that back home he didn't know where they stood either.

"I'm sorry, Daisy."

"Not build up, just ... ease in." There really wasn't much to build. It was there, Sweets could feel it, but he needed to remember how they were again, and that was something only time could give.

He grins at the kiss, leaning in to meet her, just for that moment. It's just as he remembers it. He holds, letting himself sink into it, before pulling back.

"I really did miss you."

"I know you would have," he sighed, before inching closer and settling in next to her. "Are we okay?"
