Who: Soulless!Sam Winchester and YOU
What: Sam going through his routine for the day.
When: Wednesday, Oct. 12
Where: Anywhere!
Rating: PG-13
Notes: I apologize in advance for anything that comes out of his mouth. Also, actionspam or prose is fine with me -- pick your poison.
[Sam's got his day down to a science at this point. He spends most nights in the library, because not a lot of people are around and it's the best time to get some actual work done. He spends most days down at the Pie Hole doing his job. When he wants to go out for a drink, he heads to the Death Match.
He avoids the Lux. He knows he upset Jo, though he's not entirely sure WHY, and isn't looking to generate any more awkward from that.
Any other time of day, you can probably find him out and around the castle, with his dogs, without his dogs, whatever the case may be. It's choose your own adventure -- Winchester style!]

The Pie Hole
This afternoon finds Alan standing outside the Pie Hole, remembering that the last time he was there - for free pie - it was delicious. Maybe it's about time for a treat. The programmer opens the door of the restaurant and steps inside to look around and absorb the atmosphere. "Hello?"

The pie wasn't as good as it was when Chuck was here, but there was still pie, so there was no reason that Sam couldn't sell it. Which was what he intended to do until he found another baker.

At least until he realized: he didn't have a free pie slip anymore, obviously, but what did people use for currency here? Especially since a castle resident could just wish for it.
This could pose a problem - he'd have to ask the young man waiting tables. How embarrassing.

In and out. Hopefully this guy wouldn't want to chat too much -- Sam was finding that he wasn't so good at it lately.

It's not Sam's fault, and it's not Alan's either. Sam just ... doesn't really care.

"So...what sort of pie have you got today?"

Sam nodded as he made note of that, before looking up at him again. "Anything to drink?"
no subject
Hopefully the castle itself didn't decide to play tricks on the residents for 'trick or treating'.

"I'll be right back with your water."
no subject
Alan nodded, murmuring a quiet thank-you to Sam before relaxing back into the chair to absorb more of the atmosphere. Once he's sure Sam isn't going to turn around and see him, he wishes up what's hopefully enough caisos for a slice of pie and pockets them.

And, as promised, a few minutes later he's back with the piece of pie and the water. "Let me know if you need anything else."
no subject
"Thank you," he smiles before thinking back to the last time he was here. "Say, what happened to the woman who runs this place? I'm surprised I didn't see her. Busy baking in the back, maybe?" Not that he was complaining about Sam - the woman just hadn't seemed the type to not be at her own little restaurant, helping out.

"Nope," Sam shrugged. "I got used to things around here pretty quickly."
no subject
"Oh," he says for a moment. That's certainly a first. "I'm sorry," he adds - it's not his fault, but he still doesn't think he'd wish this world - or one like it, in Sam's case - on anyone.

He's not sure what else to say, at least for now, so he'll drop the topic. "Thanks for the pie, Sam."
no subject
And with that, he'll wander back to the counter to keep working.

He slowly makes his way through his pie, finishing after about ten minutes have passed. Alan waves Sam over before reaching to his pocket for the wished-for caisos.

Hey, Lois.

Just reading up on some stuff from home. Trying to stay sharp.
[current reading material? Wendigos and rugarus. Yay cannibalism?]

Never can be too careful in a place like this.

Halloween's coming up, though. The castle's made some ... interesting choices that way in the past.

Castle never does the same thing twice but -- doesn't mean it won't find something else to invade us with.

Fair enough.
