So take it easy, only I'm afraid you're never satisfied
Who: Stefan Salvatore, Caroline Forbes
What: Caroline fills Stefan in on what has happened since the masquerade and Stefan clues into what his loss is.
When: Mid this afternoon.
Where: The forest.
Rating: PG right now, will update if needed
Stefan waited impatiently, occasionally glancing back at the book that resembled a diary. He finished a few conversations. When he thought he had covered enough for his blow-up, Stefan backed away, preferring to close the book. He'd rather be there with his thoughts. He had so much to sort through. Caroline was from a few weeks ahead of him? And Damon's welcome wagon was more of a scolding than anything remotely helpful. He hadn't meant to broadcast any of that and now he had a psychotic girlfriend to keep up with.
Sitting down, he took a few moments to start a list.
Lies I Need to Keep Up
Katherine is my psychotic ex-girlfriend who has it in for Elena.
It was true enough, unfortunately.
He set his pen down and sunk down into his chair. He tried to not play back the previous night - or that night. He couldn't fathom if it was still that night or if it was the next night. He had woken up during the day. He shook his head slowly and shut the journal again.
Next, he started pacing. He really wanted to tear the room apart. This wasn't how things were supposed to be. Elena wasn't supposed to make their break-up stick. Somehow, this all stemmed back to Katherine. She was why he had broadcast that embarrassing outburst earlier. She was why Elena and he hadn't made it.
He was getting hungry and he hoped Caroline would arrive soon. She had a lot of explaining to do. Namely what had happened in the weeks following the masquerade. And why couldn't he remember them if he had been there - or had he really been taken from...before?
