Kyle folded his hands together, behind him, bowing his head apologetically. Sometimes he felt as though he pushed Gil too much, but he couldn't help it; Gil was such an awkward, distant person, and getting reactions out of him made Kyle feel closer to him, as a friend. Guilt-ridden, he meekly looked up as Gil grabbed his arm, more amused than intimidated.

"I don't know. It's gotta be the look on your face when I surprise you. And you probably would have said no if I asked you to come out here with me," he explained, shrugging his shoulders sheepishly. "It's harder to take your mind off of things when you're by yourself, you know."

He tucked in his chin a bit so that his head was slightly bowed again, but it wasn't a submissive gesture. Green eyes rolled up to stare at Gil, regarding him for a moment before continuing. His lips tugged up into the most charming smile he could muster. "I'm sorry, buddy."
