Snowmen?
Who: Asano Rin
cutest_avenger and anyone who'd like to run into her. c:
What: Building snowmen under the light of the glowy castle light blobs!
When: Tonight :3
Where: Just outside the castle.
Rating: PG-13 for language at most; shouldn't be much else. Oh, feel free to kiss her here, too! :D
As cold as Paradisa's winter nights could get, Rin never found the long hours of darkness to be as oppressive as they could sometimes be at home.
Perhaps it was the bulk of the castle at her back, comforting - especially right now, with the homey atmosphere drafting off of the thing and the knowledge that if she ever started to feel uncomfortably cold she could simply retreat to the kitchen for a warm cup of cocoa or return to her room to curl up under her comforter with a book. Perhaps it was also in part due to the shimmering, scintillating blue light cast off by the weird globes that had descended upon the castle and which still clung there, illuminating the snowy landscape with a strange, clear light.
Either way it was too beautiful to stay inside ignoring all of the festive accouterments the castle had acquired for the winter season, and so Rin found her way outside, with an extra heavy robe, mittens and boots to help combat the cold.
Strolling the perimeter of the castle got a bit old, though, and after a moment or two Rin paused in her meandering path, smiling to herself a little as she got an idea. Paradisa's snow was perfect for packing, of course, and in a few minutes she'd rolled up a nice large snowball that came up to mid-thigh on her. It didn't take long to make an accompanying snowball of a slightly smaller size, either, and with a grunt of effort Rin picked it up and plunked it on top the larger snowball and then stood back to admire her work. A mute, blind snowman, but it was a start.
"You look a little bland, my friend," she observed, cocking her head and resting her hands on her hips as she stared the squat little thing in its so-called face. "Give me a minute. I'll find something and we'll liven you up."

[Okay, fine, she's moe. :| Fine.]

She hoped the cold would clear her head, so she made sure not to dress too warmly. The ghosts had brought her every manner of fuzzy clothing they could get their hands on, but once she was satisfied she headed out without half of what they insisted upon. As she walked outside she couldn't help but look at the castle. It was so beautiful. She had spend the last few months trying to figure this place out, figure out what was wrong and why it had trapped them here. But- a question came to mind, one that had been bothering her all day. Did she really want to go home? Here he was...
The sound of someone else's footsteps in the snow dragged her out of her reverie. She looked up to see Rin's snowman... and she couldn't help but smile fondly.
"He's pretty cute."

"I guess he is. He's not quite finished, but maybe I can leave him for now. What're you up to?" Rin slapped her hands against her thighs a couple times to knock snow off of her mittens and glanced curiously at the other girl. Yukari looked lightly dressed for the weather; it wouldn't be good to make her stand still for too long.
"Want to take a walk? I can come back to this guy anytime."

Glancing up, he spotted Rin making what appeared to be a snowman. Though he had never participated in the practice himself, the image was not unfamiliar to him. Unlike an normal person, however, he chose not to approach - instead, he just watched her curiously from afar.

Asking the castle never actually occurred to her. It would have been cheating, after all; she needed to take care of her own snowman.
It was with that mission in mind that she struck off towards the gardens, even though they were dimmer than the bright castle. There were bound to be some twigs lying around there, after all, even in Paradisa's unnaturally well-coiffed landscapes.

"Looking for something?"

"I suppose they do," he said, though he wasn't really sure about that, or sure as to what she meant by 'stuff'. Was it required to adorn a snowman with traditional features?

"Do you want to come with me and find a couple branches? What are you up to out here anyway?"

As she walked towards the castle grounds, returning from a trip to the city for some ideas, Karako went over that question again. She was probably out of practice when it came to gift-giving in the first place. Deadman Wonderland hadn't been the right environment for that sort of thing.
But here... Their first Christmas back outside of DW and everyone's hard work was something to celebrate. If the rest of Scar Chain were here, they'd be joining right in.
Karako's thoughts wandered a little further and she stopped outside the castle, still a short distance away from its walls.
She couldn't give Nagi what she was sure he really wanted, but maybe Paradisa could and would. And if it did, she couldn't do much more beyond hoping that it wouldn't take it from him again.
