Who:

What: A bite to eat and patrolling. Guy time.
When: May 30th; a Saturday night.
Where: the City Royale
Rating: Idk. Probably not over PG-13.
Clark was going to meet Bruce in town, and to be honest, with the patrolling in mind, he wasn’t sure what to expect. He always felt vaguely under-dressed next to the rest of the Justice League; never to the point of wanting his own costume (mostly because a special uniform wouldn’t do much for him, physically, like it would for his human teammates) but enough that, well, he felt kind of out of place in jeans, a t-shirt and a jacket. He couldn't imagine how dumb it would look next to some guy in a billowing cape.
Clark’s idea of patrolling was listening to police reports, zipping in and stopping trouble, and zipping out. Not that Clark expected ANY trouble in a city as peaceful as this one, but would Bruce be able to keep up if there was? Was patrolling with Bruce like doing things in Star City with Green Arrow? They sounded similar, he guessed. Different colour scheme, maybe, because it never struck Clark that a Batman costume would actually look like a bat.
Then again, Clark realized, as he jammed his hands into his pockets and looked over his shoulder for any sign of Bruce coming up the street to their meeting place, there isn’t much point in questioning it.

Sounded like any other night with the Justice League.

Heading into the city to meet Clark though, Bruce dressed casually. With dark jeans and a button down shirt loose at his waist he figured if Clark really wanted to see the suit, they'd make a quick trip back to the castle and that would be that. Otherwise they could just take the easy route to patrolling, which required just taking a long way back to the castle.
Catching sight of Clark, Bruce nodded in his direction, "Hey, sorry if I'm late."

As always, Clark was in the usual: nice jeans, t-shirt, jacket, a beacon of primary colours.
He smiled at Bruce, taking a step forward.
"You're on time. How's your day been?"

He knew that Cass was still worried about Tim, and possibly upset at him for not telling her that Tim had half-way confided in him about Kon. There had been reasons for Bruce keeping that close to the chest, and he hoped that Cass would understand that.
"You're also you, so I can assume we're both in the clear for the day."

He paused.
"And trust me, waking up in a different land is way easier to take than waking up as the opposite sex."

Shaking his head he gestured toward the diner, "Shall we?"

He nodded. "Sure."

Entering the diner, the waitress seated them at a booth and Bruce glanced over the menu. The two of them had gone out to eat before, so it wasn't as if either had to worry that the other was weird about someone watching them eat. If anything, the first 'man-date' they had was a good thing. Opening those lines of communication, and actually making Bruce believe that they could indeed be those 'epic friends' that they were rumored to be in the future.
As he scratched at his chin Bruce sighed, "You know I realized it's a lot easier to deal with trouble in this place when there are more of us, but on the other hand -- when one goes missing it tends to send panic."

He flipped through the menu, casually scanning down the lists, looking for something appetizing. Occasionally he glanced up at Bruce, just out of curiosity, and when Bruce spoke, he frowned.
"Yeah. Every week it seems there are more of us. When I first got here, I was the only one, but after Shayera arrived, everything started getting more and more complicated. I almost wonder what Paradisa could throw at us that we couldn't handle, now."
He stirred his coffee, idly.
"But I don't think there's anything wrong with having so many people around watching your back. We might not be able to find Tim, and it's pretty obvious the castle's the thing in our way, but... at least we're all there for each other."

"Support is a good thing, but there is also such a thing as too much of a good thing."
